    My Trip Report

Played recently at what I consider my "home" casino at Lumiere Place in St. Louis, MO. I have a Vegas tripped planned for the last week of July so I've cut my bankroll for my local casino trips in half and just trying to make little hits here and there to add some extra sugar to my bankroll for my trip this summer.
This is my first TR I've ever written so it's short but bare with me.
Little background, I am a black chip minimum BJ player with my avg bets ranging from $200 and up to 1k at times. I have a host who treats me extremely well as well as my girlfriend which means a lot to me and her so we've built a great host/player relationship

Anyways, I sat with 3k at the high limit BJ table and it was bad right off the get go. Win one, lose 2. Win 2 lose 4. Couldn't hit any double downs or splits. Which as we know is the dagger when playing BJ. Just kept losing so once I got down to $500 left on the felt, I broke my blacks down to quarters :grrr:
Just started betting quarters cause as I said, I just wanted to make little hit and runs until my big trip so I didn't want to risk losing a lot this year since my trip isn't till July.
Anyways, kept losing still and got down to my last $175 in front of me and that's when the clouds opened up and whispered "Bet it and they will come."
So I bet my last $175 and won. Then won the next one, then the next one, and the next one! By the end of it, I had won 11 hands in a row and coincidently just in time for the end of the shoe. I ran my last $175 up to 12k! Shoe ended and I said game over! Tipped the dealers then cashed out for 12k which was good enough for a 9k profit. Talk about going from ground zero back to feeling on top of the world. A couple more hits like this will give me a real healthy bankroll for my trip!
Well if you're still reading thanks for taking the time too!

    Nice comeback and win!

Just curious...do you feel like your offers have changed for the better/worse/same thanks to the new ownership?

I like the place as they have ~99% VP available at one of the bars for as cheap as nickels with ~24 beers on tap! If only drinks were compable in Missouri... :(

I honestly don't feel like they've changed at all. But I go through my host for everything so I dont pay much attention to my mailers unless a giveaway catches my eye. I'll use my free play if it falls on a date that I'm going

Trig, what is the best single line .25 I can get at Lumiere? I may make a run there when I am down for the Hawks/Blues game.

Unfortunately, it's not much better than what you can pull off for nickels+.

Best quarters: 9/7 DB (99.11%) and all the best nickel/dime games

    Best nickels/dimes: 9/6 DDB (98.98%), "Airport Deuces" (98.91%), 7/5 Super Aces (98.85%)

All those games but super aces are at the non smoking bar with the craft beer.

Vpfree 2 should be accurate since I made a major overhaul (for the better!) to it when they switched owners. Most of the games still looked to be there when I went in Dec (some of the machines were moved though.)

Also note to park there on a weekend, you have to pay $20. This can be reimbursed if you buy $25+ in food/drink (bartenders said alcohol counted toward that total), or do what I did, sign up for a card and cycle $125/$250 thru a slot/VP machine.

I should be in town for that weekend, so if you decide to go, lmk.

No I don't. I just give Lumiere all my play since my host and I have developed a great relationship. I've never been to RC but I've heard others have liked it.

RC is tons nicer than Lumiere overall, imo. You should tell your host to work there...:evillaugh

I was really surprised at how nice River City is. I definitely wasn't expecting much, but the decor reminds me a lot of a midwest wynncore

I've always gone to Lumiere cause it was the closest and most convienent drive. I used to frequent Harrahs when I was in college.
Maybe we can all meet up at RC sometime!

I'm always looking for a excuse to hit up River City! I only wish Lumiere or RC's player's club was tied to a Vegas property

I know it! That was the tough part about booking my trip this year. Luckily a host in Vegas got in touch with my Lumiere host to get my numbers and such and it worked out. RC is a place I'll have to definitely hit up soon!
