I was playing golf in Mesquite last week and found a fun carnival card game at the Eureka called High Card Flush. I made quite a bit when I got a 6 card flush (out of 7 cards dealt) as it paid 100 to 1. Straight flushes even paid higher, and the ultimate hand is the 7 card straight flush which is a 8000 to 1 payoff. I was playing $5 min and thought.... Every hand had the possibility of a $40,000 payoff! (My 6 card flush was only one card off from a straight flush). Anyone seen this game in Vegas, if so... Where?

Planet Hollywood has had it for at least 2 years now I think, and I think other CET casinos have it. I played it KC this past summer and got pummeled, the only 6 card flush I saw was from the dealer...

I played it for several hours last trip at Cromwell and Planet Hollywood, but I didn't notice it at other CET casinos. (I was told a dealer at the Rio 'created' the game and CET liked it)

Yup, PH definitely has it. Took them for over $2000 on a 6 card flush and a 5 card straight flush in one hand back in September.

Downtown has them too. I hit a six card straight flush at the Four Queens for a sweet payday. There are other places downtown that have the game, but I remember the Four Queens the best.

True enough, it was invented by a dealer at Rio and bought by CET.

Hearsay has it that 4 Queens dropped it last fall.

Like to play it because it's one of those brainless games. Nice to take a break from the analysis of blackjack and sports betting.

The Linq has a table. Hit a 6 card flush the first hand I played. Just missed the 5 card straight flush on that hand for a even bigger pay.

Yup...most, if not all CET props in Vegas has HCF. I know for sure PH, Caesars, and Cromwell has it.

I believe all CET properties. I played for the first time at PH last November. Went to see Britney and *thought* that A) I needed to have a drink or two and B) that the drinks would be weak. Two $18 doubles later I was flying high.

Sat down at the table, first hand, $600+. Cocktail waitress took a special attention to me and then....Woke up the next morning in my bed with $5.00.

CET also rates HCF very favorably...at least they did last year. Table max can alternate between $100 and $200, depending on time of day and/or number of players. The first time I played HCL, last year, I ended up pressing to $200 ante and kept it there for awhile. When I asked how the game is rated, the floor Sup said 4x ante plus the bonus bets. She said she had me down for $800 on the $200 ante bet.

If you have not played this game a lot, be forewarned, this game can be downright brutal. I do enjoy it and always try to play it at least once every trip to Vegas.

Is 3 card poker rated at 4x ante at CET? What about UTH nowadays? High card flush's main game has a house edge between those two games. Charles Mousseau's strategy of max betting T-8-6 or higher and fold all others has a house edge of 2.71% of an ante.

Not sure about 3CP, as I rarely play it, but I am thinking they probably rate all Carnival games at max bets. The last time I asked about UTH, they said it was 6x Ante + Trips. Getting max rating on HCF and Crazy4 is better though, since the amount you can put on the Play bet is set, depending on what your hand is. In UTH, you can 4x any hand. With that said, even though CET rates more for these games, compared to other casinos, I do not think it translates into higher Theo. I never check my theo at CET because I am usually double booked at a MGM prop too, and always end up room charging to that room. So far, for corporate offers, I get very little free play/match play and only regular room offers from CET. Whereas, from mlife, I often get a basic suite and a decent amount of RC. My last two mailers from Aria are for Skysuites. So, for the same level of play, CET rates much higher, but I think mLife values it more. I feel it is much easier to get free rooms at CET, but to get anything beyond a standard room, takes considerably more amount of play, without a Host. With mlife, it seems the initial amount of play for free rooms is a bit higher than CET, but getting better room offers is like walking a small flight of stairs...you will notice a change in offers with an increase in play.

I thought read somewhere on here CET stopped rating UTH at 6X ante within the last year or so. And it's definitely possible that bet ratings aren't very proportional to theo, but if they aren't, why does the casino do these ante multipliers anyway? Just to give their customers a better sense on how much they are betting per hand?

And if it was just to properly to quantify avg. bet size, high card flush definitely shouldn't be 4X ante. The average bet under the Mousseau strategy is only 1.712X ante. You're supposed to fold 32.06% of the time in this game.

Exactly! Games like MS and LIR, may not be too bad if they got full ratings.

Wow! Thank you everyone for all the replies. Funny I hadn't noticed it when I stayed at Caesars last year for I'm sure I would have played it cuz I had a great time with it in Mesquite.

Yeah, caesars got it within the past few months. It is in the carnival pit by the craps tables.

Last time I was at Bally's (October) they had one table. Pretty fun game!
