I have learned so much from this board! Thank y'all!!
Planning a trip in late April (3 nights)...and so far I have narrowed it down to the following:

    Cosmo-Terrace Studo at 192/night
Palazzo/Venetian- at 169/159 with breakfast in room each morning included
MGM Grand-Tower Spa Suite- at 131/night
MGM Signature- One bedroom balcony suite- at 132/night

My 'worry' about MGM Signature is the location (will the walk to the strip be 'far'?)
Is the Cosmo worth the extra $183 total (or $70 from P/V)?
Is the P/V worth the extra $84 from the MGM grand or signature?

Trip is for me and the hubby (2nd time there together, we got married in Vegas 11yrs ago)...we are in our late 30's, late 40's, like to gamble (but not the farm away), want to eat and have fun :)

I want something other than the 'basic hotel room' with a top end budget of $200/night...any other properties I should throw on to my list?

Please help! Soo many choices, my planning brain is on overload!

Congrats! You will have fun with any of these choices.

Are you going on a food budget? MGM Sig has a kitchenette. That would be a huge benefit if so.
If no food budget I would chose the "Palazzo/Venetian- at 169/159 with breakfast in room each morning included" option.

I would agree with midwestroller. V/P would be my first choice. Kitchenette?? "we don't need no stinkin' Kitchenette". We're on vacation . . . .

MGM is near the end of the strip. V/P is near the other end but unless you're shopping at "The Grand Canyon Experience", your shopping choices are better with V/P. If you're driving, Palazzo is the better choice because you can park close to the room elevators (park near the employment center).

    Thanks for the quick comments!
midwestmidroller- we do have a food budget, but it is not that strict... I don't really want to choose P/V just because of the breakfast...I do like the location of it and the guarantee of the 'suite' room...
DaiLan-the MGM being near the end doesn't really bother me (I am more worried about the Signature being 'off strip'), we will probably get the monorail pass (just to at least ride it) or if we end up heading to 'the other end' for a meal...

The appeal of the Cosmo and the Signature are the balcony's... I love to sit outside in the AM and enjoy some coffee...

I personally love the MGM Signature. I haven't stayed at Cosmo or MGM, so I can't really compare. My hubby stayed at the Cosmo with friends last summer, and he said he likes the rooms at the Signature a little more. The furnishings at Cosmo, he said was more trendy, but he liked the layout of the Signature rooms better. We've only had the studio suite at the Signature, not a one bedroom. Only time I stayed at Venetian was over 9 years ago, but the room and bathroom was very nice. I personally don't think the Signature is too far from the Strip. The main things that appeal to me about the Signature is that it's nonsmoking and there have never been more than 1 or 2 people ahead of me in line when checking in or out. I always see the long lines at the other hotels and think, I'm glad I didn't have to deal with that. I also like the kitchenette, so we can bring back leftovers if needed and not feel like we are wasting food.

My vote would be for Cosmo. Solid restaurants, balcony, and easy to get on and off the strip. I stayed in a wraparound terrace suite one time and loved the balcony (except it was wicked windy during my visit so that kinda sucked...)

I stayed at the Signature a few months ago and it was fairly nice. It was really quiet, room was fairly nice, and really easy access to the monorail. However, I probably wouldn't stay there in the future because it was a bit of a hike to the strip. I don't have any issues with walking, but walking back to the Signature after a long night got old fairly fast for me.

Cosmo if it fits your budget.

Maybe vdara? Vdara is definately closer to the strip than Signature is == super easy walk to Bellagio, Cosmo, and Aria. Pricing @ Vdara should be better than Cosmo, and is fully non smoking and doesn't have a casino.

My vote is for V/P. Do you enjoy gambling at one property more than another? I would take that into consideration.

First, I've never stayed at MGM or Signature so I can't really comment on those places (though I would certainly have the same concerns about Signature as you do). But Cosmo and V/P are both fantastic.

The rooms at V/P are huge. There's all kinds of stuff to do and see. And the restaurant options are pretty much endless. I'm a big fan (of everything but the mostly terrible BJ and VP options).

But if you aren't opposed to dodging a few drunks in the wee hours and putting up with some nightclub/dayclub noise, I think I'd go with Cosmo. Good restaurants, great bars, fun atmosphere and the balcony (especially if you can swing a fountain view) is worth the price of admission on its own. Plus, the location is tough to beat.

But really, I think you're looking at good options all around. You'll be fine whatever you choose.

    Best of luck!

My wife and I stayed at V/P and Cosmo last year. We are headed back in May and the Queen demands that we stay at the Cosmo! She liked it much better than the V/P. The terrace in the rooms at the Cosmo makes their rooms much better than the V/P. We thought the staff and dealers at the Cosmo were a lot more friendly than V/P. Atmosphere and location of the Cosmo makes this property the clear winner. That being said, the rooms at the V/P are very clean and nice, but location is not centrally located and the casino always seemed a bitslow and boring vs. the Cosmo.

I would stay at cosmo, great room and the balcony is the +

I would stay away from the signature I'm not sure if it was the location of my room but all I remembr from the trip was the super long walk to the casino from our room and I hated it!
