Anybody else going to be watching this tonight? Having been a huge fan of Breaking Bad I'm definitely going to check it out. I don't expect it to be on the same level of Breaking Bad, but hopefully it's still an entertaining show.

Yep, tonight is the only time it's on Sunday. Starting tomorrow it's on Monday nights at 10pm. I'll probably stay out of this thread until I watch it tonight, I don't want to read any spoilers from the East Coasters here.

I won't spoil it for anyone but I will say I am glad I took the hour and fifteen minutes out of my day to watch it. Well worth it.

Probably helps I'm studying for the bar so I can see myself in Saul's shoes in the near future :evillaugh

Five minutes into the series and we already get a reminder of how many lives Walter White fucked up. And we already got to see Mike! Good start so far 25 minutes in.

    Excellente, after Round 1.

If they're smart, Saul will be getting his shine box from Los Pollos Hermanos. Aaron Paul will be in there after midnight buying some Chicken munchies during a stoner and Saul will make a cameo in Cranston's classroom on Jobs Day!

Hell, they already have bad boy Mike in a role.

Being HUGE BB fans, I DVRd the show just for a rainy day. Reading the commets, sounds like I will be happy I took the two seconds to record it.

Husband does. Must be a Maryland thing LOL.

Liked it but just like BB, took me a minute to get into it. Now I'm ready for more.

The mustache just makes me think of Fargo and now I want to watch that again.

Edit: I knew it was Tuco the second the sleeve of the shirt came out the door. I can't decide if I like his or Cam's from MF better.

Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention but who is Chuck? Is he Saul's brother or some other relative?

I didn't catch the "tight" foreshadowing, but read about it. When the brothers are at the skate park, the one brother implores the other to get "tighter". And then Mr. Tight, Tight, Tight shows up at the end.

Chuck is the McGill in Hamlin, Hamlin, and McGil. Saul's real name is Jimmy McGill, so we have to assume they're related somehow.

Overall, I felt the episode was fantastic. Saul working at Cinnabon was a great reference to the ending of Breaking Bad when he said to Walt, "Hey, I'm a civilian. I'm not your lawyer anymore, I'm nobody's lawyer, the fun's over. From here on out, I'm mister low profile. Just another ******bag with a job and three pairs of Dockers. If I'm lucky, three months from now, best case scenario, I'm managing a Cinnabon in Omaha."

The AMC wiki says that Chuck is Jimmy's brother. That makes sense but I just didn't see it explained in the episode.

I'm still learning. The actor that plays Chuck is Lenny from Laverne and Shirley.

Who was the gorgeous smoking lady in the parking garage?

The show is interesting. The flashes with the breaking bad characters are great. Definitely has the breaking bad feel with the camera, lighting, Etc.

Was it just me, but i found the scene where tuco breaking the kids legs to be hilarious. Had me cracking up. Teach them bastards a lesson

Liking the show. Episode 2 really hooked me.

I initially thought the show timeline was post Walt and life after breaking bad...

That is some dark comedy at its finest. Where Jimmy/Saul is negotiating a Tuco down from killing them to an ankle and then from two legs each to one leg each. I had read that the actor that plays Tuco wanted to get killed off in BB because he didn't like the violence of his character. I don't know. Tuco doesn't say much but he's an intense guy. Glad he doesn't live next to me.
