We are planning a trip to New Orleans and / or Biloxi around our Anniversary on May 18. My thought are to fly into New Orleans for about 3 days, rent a car and perhaps spend a night or two in Biloxi. My wife doesn't like to gamble much. Will she be bored in Biloxi? What else is there to do around Biloxi? We can get 2 nights free via Myvegas. (or Tunica). I can get discounted nights at Harrahs too. I'm 53 and that cradle robbing wife of mine is 65 ...going on 45 lol. We like music and pools and sight seeing. Perhaps we should just spend the hotel time all around New Orleans???
Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Tim

I've been to NOLA a bunch of times, but never Biloxi. Never gambled either, i keep that for my Vegas trips. The music in NOLA is amazing, you'll have a blast. My biggest bit of advice is to see the city outside of bourbon street.

That sounds like a good plan.
There isn't much to do in Biloxi, but the Beau is nice, resort like. Nice pool with the beach close by. Not a fantastic beach, but it is beach.
The drive over from New Orleans is sort of interesting too if you have never driven it.

If you want an awesome beach experience while in biloxi, I recommend the Ship Island Excursion out of Gulfport. It's one of the most pristine beaches we have gone to, it's not crowded, and you get to ride a ferry out in the am and back in the afternoon or evening. There's restrooms, concessions, beach rentals, and an old fort you can tour once there, plus tons of white sand and crystal clear gulf water with lots of fish and wildlife.

In Biloxi, the Half Shell Oyster House is very tasty if you like seafood and quality local beer.

Went for the first time in December, and the thing I was most impressed with was - http://www.mosquitosupperclub.com/ Local food, local colour. One thing I found I didn't like, though, was all the cooked/ baked oysters. Straight out of the pond was much better.

We enjoy trips to the Beau...but no more than a couple nights. The pool is simple but good for drinks...the MyVegas VIP chair reward is worth it...cabana is not since they are far from the actual pool. My wife doesn't gamble but enjoys the pool. I enjoy the spa and it is fairly cheap for a massage. Across the bridge in Ocean Springs, The Shed BBQ is worth it. Harrah's Gulf Coast before renovations was the most bland casino ever...after renovations...just as bland.

For a gambler, the Treasure Bay casino does a $100 slot loss promo for new players...lose one day, on your card as freeplay the next day by 10 am.

I'll second The Shed in Ocean Springs. Great BBQ in a very unique setting.
