My wife was looking at a few groupons but was hesitant to purchase the ones related to the Sugar Factory in Paris because she also read that it may be closing.

Can anyone confirm that info and if true when are they expected to close?

The store at Mirage closed, but I haven't heard of them closing the restaurant at Paris. Even if they do close after you purchase a Groupon for it, Groupon will issue you a credit for the amount you paid after a location closes. They sent me an email one time after I had forgot about using one telling me that the pizza place I bought one for closed down and they were issuing me a credit. I think it was good for one year.

LV Bound, where did your wife hear that. We were there in December and they were expanding the outdoor area

I could have sworn they just finished an expansion. I'd be very surprised if they closed; I think they may be pulling back on their retail-only locations (and they still have a number of those in Las Vegas), but closing the restaurant would be a big deal.

She read it on the "MyVegas" Facebook page.
Someone posted a comment from their trip how disappointed they were to see Sugar Factory at Paris closing.

I could see closing the stores, even the one at Paris but not the Sugar Factory restaurant as that place seems to have consistent business.

Well I have 2 rewards for there next week. Wonder if I will get to use them because it appears that neither can get refunded

I was in Vegas 2 weeks ago. I was in the store on the 18th and on the 19th it was closed and there was construction going on. I'm not sure what the plan is there.

I just don't want to lose the 9500 lps. I am going to call and see if they would honor them at the MGM store. I doubt it, but it is worth a shot

If the store is not open you can get the reward refunded. Contact myVegas support to have this dome or have it switches to MGM Grand.

That is the article my wife found yesterday as well.
It appears the store will be the first part to transition and the restaurant afterward.
At least that was my interpretation.

I missed the part about any future transition.

Thanks everyone. The LPs were refunded. I will now get them at the MGM store instead.
