    Help me decide

Aria deluxe room with two queen beds. No view for 4 people

    Or

Ceasars palace palace tower room with 2 queen beds for 4 people. Cost is slightly higher

    Both basic low end rooms

    Thanks

Aria's deluxa room is not a basic low end room. It's probably one of the two or three nicest standard rooms on the strip. It's head and shoulders above the palace tower.

How old is the group? We stayed at Caesars a few years back and we felt the place had a 60 and over vibe. We also noticed there was really nothing on the property that suited our interests and we were continually making the long walk to the strip. You don't realize what a hike it really is until you stay there.

The Palace Tower is not low end for Caesars. It's also the best tower to be in if you're going to use the pool.

To me, assuming it is during pool season, I take Caesars all day long. Their pools are the classiest in vegas. Prefer the food options - Rao's, Mesa Grill, Buffet, food court and having forum shops (and restaurants) next door. One of the best Diamond lounges in Vegas. Located on the best corner in the Universe! Hands down Caesars.

You got it....STIP ACCESS, then ARIA (while newer / more modern hotel than Caesars) is further than the strip...Palace tower at Geezers gets my vote based on your criteria, and besides you can try the $20 trick at Caesars and perhaps get Augustus tower!

Without question - Aria! The amount of walking you'll do inside of Caesars alone outweighs its exit being any closer to the strip.

Another vote for Aria and its not even close. Aria is a luxury hotel and Ceasars not so much to put it nicely.

This is a great point. Aria gets a bad rap for being set back far from the Strip, but I think that a lot of that is perception. If you look at the map, the guest elevators at Caesars or Bellagio (or Mirage, even) aren't much farther back, if at all, than the guest elevators at Aria. I think the problem with Aria is that it doesn't have a Strip-fronting entrance the same way the others do, which makes it seem like you're walking much farther to get there.

To answer the question, I would definitely vote Aria. The rooms are substantially nicer, but it's also connected to Monte Carlo (and a short walk from there to NY-NY), where there's plenty of cheap food and lower-end gambling. At Caesars, your cheap options are across the street at Flamingo/Linq/Harrah's, but I would personally choose MGM's lower-end places over Caesars's. I'm not a big Monte Carlo fan, but I'd still rather gamble there than Flamingo.

just thought I'd mention that I had a corner suite at Aria this summer, and it was a full 10 min walk back to the room (and I'm a fast walker) from the casino floor.....my walk from Octavious tower to the casino in Caesars was only 5 (through the short cut by the buffet) ...just sayin!

Well, a corner suite is as far away as possible at the end of the hall. For it to be a fair comparison you'd have to compare it to a similar room at the end of the hall at Caesars.

My point remains though. Generally speaking one will do significantly more walking inside of Caesars than just about any other casino on the strip.

Having stayed numerous times in both Aria and Caesars in the Palace Tower, I would probably choose Caesars for 4 people based simply on the larger size of the palace tower room. It's going to be dated in comparison to Aria, but you will have a little more room to stretch.

I don't think you can go too far wrong with either and I can definitely see why people recommend Aria. The cheap gambling at Monte Carlo is probably superior to Flamingo for odds. I like both the Caesars and Aria pools.

It comes down to a qualitative taste, do you prefer the newer vibe of Aria and Monte Carlo to the more classic/dated vibe of Caesars and Flamingo..

I would choose Caesars. The Palace Tower rooms are huge and close to the Pool. There are many shortcuts you can take at Caesars to lessen the distance inside the hotel if you wish.
Some people say Caesars is too big and too far from the Strip and you will do a lot of walking, i say nonsense, i'm crippled and i had no problem walking around the casino and the pools and to the Strip.
If you prefer steel and concrete with no personality, choose Aria.........if you prefer classic ambiance in an elegant setting, choose Caesars.

This made me laugh, classic ambience or elegant setting are not words i would associate with any CET property.

I like Caesar for its property-walkin around the shopping area. That's it. Aria for staying hands down.
