Just checking in with my neighbors to the north. Are you all okay after what happened in Seattle?

I'm not a Packers fan, I just like them more than Seattle. I'd be mighty angry if I was a Packer fan a the way McCarthy coached that game like a big chickenshit. Bad enough to kick two FGs from the 1 yard line but to not even try to get a first down with 4 minutes to go in the game. As a game theorist, it drives me nuts to see these coaches ignoring the obvious probabilities and playing overly conservative and too safe and having it prevent them from winning the game. Gutsy performance from Rogers. I'd be extra angry If I was him.

Survived. Bridges and high buildings are being aggressively patrolled, though.

Less than a month to pitchers and catchers reporting.

Yay won $35 on draftkings!! I'm a Patriots fan, but the Packers/Seahawks game had to be probably the best football game ever, or at least that I have seen. No doubt it will be on NFL Networks instant classics list right away.

I'm a Dodger fan and as everything was unfolding I turned to my wife and told her, this is the GB equivalent of Kershaw on the mound in the 7th inning with a 7-1 lead against the Cards. Brutal......Good luck Pack fans.

That was all in line with doing everything they could to not win the game.

Lllllllonnnggg offseasons for McCarthy and Bostic. I don't know what was worse, this game or the 4th and 27 debacle against Philly in the NFC title game a while back. Either way it hurts the same. Good luck to Seattle in the Super Bowl, they sure as hell earned their win today.

That 2 pt conversion was atrocious, the onside kick play was sickening. Falling to the ground after that final INT. I guess after stopping Seattle all day the conservative offense towards the end made sense and that final FG drive was gutsy but damn still gotta feel like they gave it away. Probably reality is closer to Seattle taking it back.

Exactly what I was thinking. The guy has his arm hanging limp like a lame dick dog and they don't exploit this?

I would have rather walked away from the goal line empty than have to settle for 3 points. 3rd down and 19 and Packers rush 3 and give Wilson 10 minutes to complete a pass for 29 yards. :bang:

I'm with you on most of this, except the first and maybe even the second GB FG's. I supported the first decision for sure... you come away with nothin' there and the tone of the game is set. GB HAD to get some points on the board IMHO. I'm no Packer's fan, but I HATE... HATE Pete Carroll. The end of that game was just tough to watch.

The Packers didn't really rush 3. The 3 "rushers" just stood there and didn't even look they were trying. And then with 8 guys in coverage, they left a receiver all alone and forgot to cover him.

How can Wilson send a desperation floater up in the air and not 1 defender react in time to knock the ball down? That 2 point conversion was huge. How does the defense stop Seattle all day and then let them score at will at the end of the game and OT? Why do you leap in the air for an onside kick and let the ball hit your helmet?

NOT... the worst collapse ever, although now known as 'The Choke Job' in Packer Playoff annals by Milwaukee media. (The #1 collapse of all time, which I attended in 1993, was the Bilks overcoming a 3-35 defecit in the 3rd. Quarter.)

That being said, a list of the FUBARS in order.

#5 McCarthy's conservative coaching in taking the early FGs.
    # 4 McCarthy's conservative coaching in not doing anything after the INT, at the 5 minute mark.
#3 Bad Hands Bostick, believing that the game was all about him, decides not to block to take the ball away from some seldom used stiff named Jordy Nelson.
#2 With yards and yards of open green and two huge lineman ahead of him, LB accepts the word of Peppers to fall to the ground, rather than grabbing 30 more, burning all the TOs and setting up a clinching 15 point lead!
#1 The Grand Finale FUBAR. TWO, not one... two Packer defenders cannot figure out to jump in front and bat down a 30 yard, off the wrong foot, backing up, desperation, across the field Quacker on the 2 pointer!

Thus, sealing defeat from the jaws of the Super Bowl. Horrendous... But a very exciting game, because of the A!

Well as a Bears fan, today is better than your average Bears Victory Monday after beating a division rival. I am getting a kick out of the weepy FB posts from my WI relatives.
