Are the V/P Grazie comps that bad?

Hi all.....it seems to me that generally the Venetian (Grazie) tends to get viewed as NOT a great place for comps- just wondering what kind of experience people have had to support or refute this. I remember even seeing on some site that they voted it the worst player card in Vegas.

I think I recall a few years ago they pulled out of some room comps, which understandably would have angered many. Is this reputation coming from that time frame, or do you think they have improved since then in an attempt to redeem themselves?

    Thanks!

    I enjoy the V/P property a lot.

Because I had an eighteen month break from Vegas my offers dried up from MLife and CET. The only one who kept sending me free rooms marketing offers was Grazie.

So naturally I have stayed there several times. While I don't have a true host I do have a player rep or whatever the title is who e-mails and calls me to help me set my trips up. Because my bankroll has increased I will be stopping in to talk to a true host during MM weekend.

With that being said my offers have been three to four nights free plus $200 in free play and $100ish in food/bev...and that is with me playing mainly craps. If my memory is right last SB weekend I had a $175-200 average bet in craps.

So in my opinion I find the comps to be ok. I have no complaints about Grazie, other than their website being down forever.

Like rocky, i really like the property and staff.

From my experience, Wynn has been the toughest to get the most comps via corporate offers and a host. After leaving mlife, cosmo has been the most generous via host and corporate offers.

V/p has been good for me. Not the best but not the worst. I think corporate offers are not terrible. I usually get 3 night comped with 200-300 food credit and 700-800 promo chips as well as show tickets at times.. My host will add food comp after reviewing my theo. Getting a suite on weekends is tough at times. I can usually get one on the weekdays for sure.

With the same level of play at cosmo I get much better corporate offers. Usually 3 nights in a wrap around 300-400 in food credit and 1500-2000 promo chips. Host has always took care of me cause I loss my ass every trip. The property and rooms are awesome, but the staff and crowd (excluding the hot girls) are not so pleasant, imo.

I spend 95% on tables and 5% slots.

I find the V/P comps very easy to get. We have a wonderful host there that takes very good care of us. The mail out offers we receive are usually for 3 or 4 nights comped, $1200 freeplay and $300ish for f/b. But when I email my host about a stay he has always put us in the Prima suite at V or the Seinna suite at P for up to 5 nights comped with all f/b comped at the end of the trip and a fairly large freeplay sum usually around $2000.

So for me the comps are very good at V/P, but I also give them majority of my play when I stay there. I will stop at other properties just to keep the card tier score up just incase we feel like a change from the V/P. And incase it makes a difference to you I'm a slot player only, no tables for me.

If you don't mind sharing, what is your theo for a 3 day trip?

Thanks Rocky, Riddick and Naturaleight.....I guess I am looking at it from a slot players view-
Casinoqueen- thanks for the info. Do you have any idea of what kind of points you put on per trip to trigger your offers if you don't mind my asking? I've only had one trip of real play there. I think it was about 17500 points (based on the grazie gift point balance, assuming it's the same number) and it seems to be a reasonable offer back at 3 nights, 600 freeplay, 150 dining, and 2 tix to Frank the man show in March, which they upgraded to the Fortuna suite at Palazzo. Was just trying to figure out if that was an offer typical of the play given, or, just a teaser offer for first bounce back stay.
    Thanks again everyone!

    You're welcome, VC!

There is a board member, Evoni, who posts her TRs and she appears to be solely a slot player who stays at V/P. She may be able to shed some additional light on it for you.

I have not played at V/P for at least a couple years now. From what I heard, table players pretty much got little to no comps for awhile. Throughout all of last year, I kept receiving multiple room offers each month. The room offers kept coming into this year as well, so I finally booked a room for this coming weekend. I guess I will see what comes of this stay. I will probably give them 70/30, table/slots.

Once you make Gold, you will get invitations for every slot event every month.

You are almost Gold level right now with 17,500 points.

Last year I made Gold level in January and pretty much stopped, focusing on mLife and the D. I continue to get invitations and comp offers.

My offers are a comp suite for 3 nights, but low F/B and low Freeplay, probably I am a "low" Gold member.

The Grazie website is back up. I wouldn't hurt to log in and see what offers are there.

I guess what I'm trying to say is your offer pretty much matches what I would expect for your play, and I would expect them to stay at that level.

thanks Dailun! I actually did scrape by and get Gold, I had 2500 points just from a walk through earlier in the year. Just curious if their offers are consistent if you continue to give similar play on the slots!

Yes, their offers are consistent with the amount of play. The only reason I quit (cut back substantially) playing was because I didn't really need a suite and V/P was so damn tight. However, I made some headway in the High Limit room at Venetian (2) W2-Gs and I still have $400 comp dollars there.

The Gold lounge is a nice place to "hide", or take a guest.

I play slots and vp and am a much lower roller than most here. I have been getting consistent offers for all the tournaments and monthly offers for 3 nights and around $200 free play. I am low gold and very happy with them. I dropped MLife awhile back due to their inconsistency and am glad I did, although I am sitting in my Mirage room tonight thanks to MyVegas before I move to Venetian tomorrow. I think Grazie is great for slot players.

RiddickBull, sorry but I have no idea about theo and ADT, just can't seem to grasp that. If you have an easy explanation on how to figure that out I'd be grateful. So I can't give my theo cause I have no idea how to figure it out.

Can't remember the exact number of points this last trip, it was over 100k something like 130k or 150k sorry can't remember. That was for 4 nights stay.

We walked up the strip in Dec and played for a few hours (split between BJ and slots and I earned ~ 10k points) Most of that must have been from slots cause I'm a MICRO BJ player (between $25-$50/hand avg)...

I haven't received any free offers yet, but I did get an email from a Casino Relationship Manager, stating something to the effect of "due to my loyalty and qualified play, he has been assigned as my personal contact at the property"...

I'll be interested to see if they throw me a bone, cause my wife loves it there, but I highly doubt it since we were there the same time as VegasChic and she already received an offer!

A few years back we returned to V/P for some play, a Casino Relationship Manager contacted us shortly after that trip and told us the same thing. I asked him if he can match my CET offers and he said no but he did give me an offer (low) anyway and I decided to give it a try just to see where it all goes from there. On the next visit after we took the CRM offer I then contacted him again to see what he can do for another visit. He said my play was above any offers he can give me and gave me to an actual host. That host is still our host and a super guy hope he never leaves V/P. Glad I decided to give V/P a second chance with their first low ball offer cause it has been great ever since.

They needed to feel me out with the low offer to see where I stood with them, and I needed to feel them out. It worked out great

Good to know.....I get a feeling we have similar slot play, the only difference is that I usually splash in some craps/BJ!

For me it's all about getting me in the door, so upfront offers are typically what attracts me to a casino/hotel....I'm pretty sure once I'm there, they will comp me RFB based on my play for the stay (at least CET/Aria/Cosmo/Wynn has in the past)
