    Going to vegas in March.

I have read a tip about getting a chip as a souvenir from every Casino. Want to do that.. Is it possible to get $1 chips in every Casino? any one that you cant get $1? What is the lowest there?

Is it entrance fee in any of the casinos in Las Vegas? or Dresscode? Is it ok to gamle in jeans, regular shoes and t-shirt?

You should be able to get $1 chips at all of them. I used to go to the cage and ask for a nice/newer one rather than trying at a table.

No entry fee at the casinos. No dress code as long as you have something on really. Jeans, shoes, t shirt are fine.

It ain't Monaco. I collect the chips, too. Most casinos are cool with it. I only had one act suspicious about it. $1 is the lowest chip they have. Most casinos use a white chip to designate $1. No dress code. You'll see people in pajamas and slippers or sandals and sometimes barefoot.

We have a large beer stein full of $1 and $5 chips for just about every casino we visited, not just Vegas. We're at the point now where my wife and I ask each other "Do we have this chip?" Usual response is a shrug of the shoulders. It's a good cheap souvenir and pretty cool to take them out every now and them.

I collected a $1 chip from every casino on the strip and downtown last July. I did one side of the strip each day and downtown only took a couple hours.

Get the chips at the cage, not the tables - unless you are playing. If you tell the cashier at the cage you're collecting casino chips you'll be pleasantly surprised how many of them will look for a nice clean one for you.

No entrance fees to casinos and casual dress is fine.

Have a great trip!!! :peace:

    Hey Now!
I'm also a collector. I've got 2 display cases full. I always ask for $1 tokens as well, harder to get each day as everyone is going to TITO.
I have some Silver Strikes too...

If you are attending Paytriple's party, you have to pay an "entrance fee" and bring your own Valtex. However, you can purchase condoms for $5 and used condoms for $2.50 (just flip it inside out - 2 time use). :poke:

Everyone attending the party will be making a voluntary donation to the party fund.
Only Riddick would have had to pay an "entrance fee"![emoji56]

And of course, each girl at the party will have her own separate "entrance fee".....[emoji104]

I collect the $1 chips as well. I usually get it from the tables but thanks for suggesting the cage. I also have quite a few $1 tokens back from when they still used them.

No dress code in casinos. But it's always good to dress nicely, at least no harm.

Harrah's St. Louis get sold a year or two ago so it's no longer Harrah's, but back in the early 90's before the current casino/hotel building was built, it was a riverboat and they used to charge you an entrance fee (I think it was $5). Plus, if you were playing slots/video poker, the machines used tokens rather than real coins. So you HAD to cash them in when you were finished. I believe they still have a loss limit per day in Missouri; back then I believe it was $200 per day. A couple years ago I was playing VP at Harrah's St. Louis and a lady next to me was just sitting at her machine; she was waiting till the top of the hour when she could put more money into the machine; she was currently at her limit... The machines there don't operate unless you have a slot club card inserted (so your loss limit can be tracked)..Quite a bit different than Vegas!

Valley Forge Casino close to my home in PA has this. You have to pay a membership fee to get in.
