I see a lot of people complaining about how Myvegas has changed and not worth playing anymore. I couldn't disagree more. My husband and I each have our own account. Going in Feb and all this is free, thanks to MyVegas:

    Aria Lunch buffet for 2
2 games of bowling at Red Rock
    2 nights at Red Rock
    1 night at Luxor
2 lunch buffets at Red Rock (each for 2 people)
Friday night seafood dinner buffets at Redrock for 2
    2 free tickets to Love
    MGM breakfast for 2

Not bad for just playing on the internet. Never spent a penny on chips.

Been to Vegas 20 times or so, and don't really care if I see one more volcano or pirate show, so staying on or near the strip isn't important. This is a trip to relax, eat, and play.

    Thanks MyVegas!!!

I just started playing about 3 months ago, in preparation for Vegas trip this month. In that time I've accumulated enough for the Monte Carlo $50 credit (35000 LP) the NY NY $50 drink credit (50000 LP), 2 MGM dinner buffets (91000), and should get enough for the Red Rock lunch Buffett and BOGO Monorail by next Friday. I can't believe how much I was able to accumulate. I pretty much won't have to buy food! Have a great time...

I agree. I have gotten quite a few shows and free meals. Never spent a penny.

Love the site and dont blame them for tightening up a bit. Its part of how these things work.

We love the game. We have used it on 5 trips so far and have gotten about 3 k worth of free stuff between meals and show tickets. You can't beat free!

I saw 4 Cirque shows for free last trip (October). Every single time I got moved closer so I am happy with it too. For my May trip I will go for a couple of 'free' hotel nights and a couple more free shows. Possibly the Red Rock buffet too.

Last week Mandalay Bay had a seperate line for myVegas rewards. It was about 40 people deep and only had 1 or 2 people working it. Needless to say, we wrote off our Buy 1 get 1 buffet pass and went and ate elsewhere. It wasn't worth the 45+ minute wait in line.

We went back later at night and got our rewards for the MIX lounge.

I'd had a reward for the Bellagio buffet lunch. I made damn sure that we weren't in the blackout dates. We get there and before heading to the Bellagio my wife is looking at the reward on my phone and we're suddenly in some new blackout dates.

Needless to say, we're about done with this game. Short of show tickets that we can call in without waiting in line for, there's little else left to try and get.

Don't get me wrong, we've gotten a TON of free stuff through this game, but it's played itself out and isn't that appealing anymore.

    Haters gonna hate.

Yes the game has declined in value. But it is still very valuable (if you play correctly and don't get suckered into buying chips).

I think I've redeemed like 40ish rewards over the past couple years. Never spent a dime on chips. I can't complain...

Dave - try at 7:00 am vegas time. I believe that is when most are reloaded, and have had success. 5 min later, might be out of luck.

I think what people miss more than anything is the quality of the rewards. Most MGM buffets now require stay and are only available Mon-Thurs. this severely limits this usefulness to those who getaway on weekends. Bellagio buffet is great but so over priced at 560k for dinner. The long time players know what has disappeared in time.

That being said with the massive popularity of the game I can see why MGM is making redemption harder. Far too many mooches played the game, scooped the rewards and didn't leave any other money at the resorts. I'm sure those Mlife numbers were tracked and confirmed this. If the game were released today with the rewards as is no would bat an eye. People would be happy to be getting anything for free

The rewards aren't as good as when the game first started, but if you choose your dates right you can get a lot of stuff for free. Last year we got 4 free nights at the Mirage, 2 free nights at Aria and 2 free Aria buffets. Seems like a pretty good deal to me for playing a game.
We never would have stayed at Aria if we couldn't have gotten it for free (last of the big spenders here!).
We actually just got a mailer for 2 free nights at the Mirage with $50 free play, I really don't understand why because we don't spend that much on gambling, but we are going to take them up on it!
We never would have gotten these 2 nights if it hadn't been for MyVegas giving us the original free nights last year, so it just keeps on giving!

I'm glad you are excited and hope you enjoy your trip!!

For my next trip I've cashed in: MGM Dinner Buffet and $25 spend at NFI, I don't know if I will use a 3rd but if I choose to, I still have 300K LPs to buy one.

I think the game still has value to the target market. Us players spread the word and along with the mass marketing of MyVegas it has made the game a huge success. The idea is to get us in the door, sign up for their players cards and they have succeeded. There is no doubt in my mind they have tracked the players since day 1 and have changed the rewards to ensure the program's continued success. It's still a great way to get some freebies/rewards (as I don't consider it a freebie once you have invested your cash) for anyone who is willing to invest their time and for some players, their money.

I am lucky enough to have a desk job from home and can run MyVegas in the background. We get free rooms in Vegas and use MyVegas for things we would never have thought about doing. I've seen, eaten and taken my play to other MGM casinos that I've normally not gone to, due to having a freebie to use there.

To date what I can remember cashing in is:
    2- $150 credit at Tender
2-$75 credit if you spend $150 at Tender
    1 Premium Ka Ticket
    1 Premium ticket to O
    2 Premium ticket to Zarkana
    2 - $25 NFI credits
    Border Grill
    2 - $50 credit if you spend $100 at Rice & Co
    Bellagio Dinner Buffet
    Aria Dinner Buffet
    Mandalay Dinner buffet
    $50 FP

The freebies I've had to refund as I never got a chance to use that I'm saddened about are $50 Monte Carlo Food credit and the Beer and Dinner pairing at Monte Carlo; those trips we ran out of time and couldn't make it... hopefully we will get a chance to try them out in the future.
