Is MLife's website really this bad?

Just booked my Mlife offer... I think...

It wasn't a big offer, but after four or five attempts, the website allowed me to book the room. Then... at the same time, I got an error message saying they couldn't complete the reservation because the transaction timed out AND the trip with a confirmation number showed up.

It is always this bad? I have a backup reservation with a CET property, but want to redeem some MyVegas comps which require an Mlife property stay.

I can call tomorrow to confirm that it went through, but seriously, everyone else seems to be able to deal with booking offers through a web interface.

    Just venting.

...but, no matter what happens, I'm going to Vegas for the first time in 18 months!!!

    In a word...yes.

That website is always with issues. Its rather amazing that a corporation of that size can have such a terrible website.

I'm surprised you got on. It's been down a few days. I've booked through the site once, the first time. I now always call. CET is a breeze to book through the website, but a pain on the phone. MLife is super easy on the phone and almost worthless on the site.

Have fun in Vegas, though. It's better than you can imagine!!

Isn't it amazing? A large company, who's customer image should be of prime importance, charged with a task that almost every other casino seems to manage, just can't get it together?! There are a ton of websites out there that - even hiring the less than cream of the crop in skills - still manage to present a web site that works. Unbelievable.

After giving up on them and not bothering to check the site for at least 6-9 months, I tried to log on yesterday without any luck. I couldn't believe it still wasn't up and running properly.

I am a huge MLife supporter, and I defend the website on here often. but booking through the website is terrible...always call

Other than booking trips, the website nearly (99%) of the time works flawlessly for me to check offers and teir status etc

The website is dreadful. If you are fortunate enough to make a reservation you cannot click on the reservation confirmation number to get the details, like what the nightly room rate is. I book several months in advance and frequently change my business travel. I have to constantly call them.

MGM should get somebody competent to write and manage the website.

Believe it or not, it's better than it's ever been since the switch to MLife.

    Still some glaring deficiencies:
    • Using the "Itinerary" scheme as a container to hold reservations
    • Inability to cancel reservations online
    • Even after cancelling by phone, a cancelled reservation doesn't show as cancelled.
    • Takes forever to retrieve/load every detailed page when trying to price out a reservation
    • The base prices used for Tier Discounts don't always match the current rack rate in the hotel's booking engine (ugh).

While the site is better than in used to be, I still have issues:

    - Many of the M life properties don't use the web-site. To me, if they are part of M Life, they should have to post the offers out there. Neither my Bellagio or NY NY offers appear on the site.
    - The offers that are posted don't show you your free play amount, so what's the point. You then have to wait until you get an e-mail to see the details of your offer.
    - Completely inconsistent on whether you can book these offers on the web or not. My Aria offers, no. My MGM offers, yes.

When it works, it is nice because then you can see the room type(s) you can get comped.

I had to call to book my trip for the Aria coming up. I couldn't get on Friday at all, then yesterday I was able to log-in but not book. But my trip is booked to my favorite hotel in the world.

It all worked, somehow it all went through. I just hate having to deal with people over the phone.

It was annoying, but worth the discount. ...and Monte Carlo is better than my backup plan.

Too bad MyVegas isn't like it once was. Last trip was 2 nights in a 750 GR suite at Mandalay Bay and 2 nights in a Corner Suite (upgraded from a City View room) at Aria. That was a steal.

The Mlife website is just one of the many reasons I have permanantly switched from Mlife to CET. That, and the most Mlife would ever give me is 2 nights at the mirage. No comp trips to Luxor or Excalibur or nothing. Maybe one free night at Aria every once in awhile. With my same bankroll/play style, I get comp's at every hotel year-round at CET, minus Caesars, who gives me 2-3 nights free and then like $37 rooms whatever isn't free. Mlife used to be good, but not anymore

Yeah, the site is the absolute worst, and has been since day one when they rolled it out. While I hat having to call to make my reservations, it just saves a lot of frustration and time. It also gives them a chance to remind me that although my room is comped, they still charge a resort fee.

CET website is light years ahead of MGM's.

Speaking as someone in the digital marketing industry, the website is bad, but I can see how a cluster like that would happen with a corporation with each property operating as its own entity. Competing interests and multiple stakeholders from each property usually spells disaster for shared resources like the Mlife website...

That said, they could still totally fix it.

I recently got a great deal on some premium tickets to O on the Mlife site after previously trying multiple times to get some tickets. So, um, I guess it works sometimes?

Yes it is a horribly nonfunctional website. Hard to believe they can't figure out a way to make it work. CET's website is very easy to use (although the latest upgrade was NOT an improvement). I can book an online reservation at any Marriott property throughout their 7 or 8 different brands all over the world in less than 5 minutes. It can't be that hard for mlife to figure out a way to let people make online reservations at any of their properties in LV.

Identity is worse. Maybe the new owners will overhaul the website. I'm in the business of software dev so it pains me to see such a crap site. Give me a team of a couple of developers and I could get that thing going!

Club Grazie is even worse! They were never able to recover from the multiple hackings that they have received.

Yeah I have an account there but haven't given them much play - but I recall when I first signed up and played quite a bit there I logged on expecting to see offers and points...and saw nothing. Even The Isle of Debris website blows them outta the water...which is embarrassing for Cosmo lol

Tell me about it! Its been almost a year now and while they had it up for about a week sometime in the spring or early summer it went right back down. I guess they they threw their hands up and said eff it?
