Im planning a trip in March for 6 nights. I got an offer for just $59 total from Saturday til Friday. I can't pass on the deal unless there is a serious deal breaker. I have been through and liked the casino and sports book. The location is awesome. I have never stayed there so I just have a couple questions about the rooms.

How are they as a whole? I'm not a room snob, but I don't like staying in room that makes me afraid to lay my head on the pillow or sleep under the covers.

Do they have an in-room safe?

Is there a certain section to ask for as far as a room with a decent view?

A good view is something that I do like because if I am having a rough night of gambling, I like to just go to the room and chill out with a drink and take in the view. Any thoughts or suggestion?

    thanks ya'll

While Harrahs rooms aren't luxurious they are clean. I stay here on many trips. I would compare harrahs to staying at a holiday inn.

The rooms do offer an in room safe.

Views from Harrahs can be alright but be aware that a strip view could also have noise issues from the carnival court. They also recently added "High Roller views" to view the observation wheel in the rear.

stay there most trips.... rooms are clean while not exquisite are more than decent....in room safe...check
as far as a view ask for Mardi Gras Tower facing the Mirage/TI view if you can get it....v
.might cost you a $20 or more trick though

just be aware that your $59 might have a $25 per day resort fee on top of the room charge....

for food, KGB Burger, The Oyster Bar, and the new food court are good option

Yeah, I get it with the resort fees. I paid them my last trip with PH. If Im only paying $25 a night, Im ok with that. facing the mirage and TI would be nice.

I stayed at Harrah's a few months ago(Sept). It was like my third or fourth time staying there. Like you, I am not a room snob. While the rooms feel a bit small, they are clean. I always have felt safe there. I was on the 18th floor, right across from the Mirage. I could see the volcano show in all its glory.
For what the room cost ($25/night), it was more than acceptable for my purposes and needs. The only down side was lousy internet reception. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I stayed there in July for four nights and had a great time. No problems with room. Simple and clean. No frills......but for me, it was a cheap place to sleep.

Holiday Inn is a good comparison. Clean and comfy, not over the top, just enough.

Stayed there in Oct and really enjoyed it. Rooms were clean nothing special. Also had a balcony facing the Mirage/TI with avoid view of the show. Going back the end of Jan for 3 nights and will be at Harrah's again. Location is central to where we spend a lot of our time.

A balcony? That is something I'd still like to have I a Vegas room. What type of rooms have a balcony?

I stayed in the Mardi Gras tower in October, on the 5th floor overlooking the pool. All rooms on that side have a tiny balcony. I mean tiny - like 1 foot wide.

Stayed there a few times. Same input as everyone else so far.

If you drink Coffee, there's a Starbucks on the 2nd floor that rarely has a line. If you go to the Starbucks directly below it on the 1st floor by registration/valet, you'll wait about 30 minutes.

Use this link to get an idea of what room you would like at Harrah's: https://www.room77.com/?pid=TRMhlL&id=u5fjSY#/

They show all the rooms, what tower they're in, what view, etc. I wish all the Vegas hotels had this link.

If you're booked in a classic or deluxe room, I'd try to upgrade to either a Premium room or Petite suite. Their luxury rooms have views of the strip.

I stayed there my first trip to Vegas 13 years ago and will stay there again in March. It's a no-frills room - certainly not luxury - but comfortable and safe. Which is just the way I like it. I love that it's pretty much smack-dab in the middle of the action. I must say that the gaming floor can get a bit crowded during the busy times - with people wondering through to get out of the heat, the dueling piano/karaoke bar and the slushie bar all at the South entrance.. but that's why we go to Vegas.. the energy and non-stop people watching show. :)

If you plan on sleeping at all - I highly suggest forgoing the view for something not facing the Carnival Bar. It's LOUD.. no matter what floor you're on.
