    My Trip Report

I was initially going to call this trip report a “Wynn-Wynn situation”. After the events that took place, I was going to call it “This trip report is so depressing, you probably shouldn’t even read it”. But things did look up! But you have to wonder about the quality of a trip when staying at Circus Circus was the highlight!:evillaugh

Even with not-so-good results. Good TR writers still make it worth the read!

I wonder if a glass of wine would cheer me up? Sorry....that was depressing. Kudos for hanging in there. I would be shattered if I arrived in Vegas expecting to stay at Wynn and ended up downtown. Hope your next trip is better.

Congratulations Sco. Getting my doctorate was also the culmination of many years of hard work. I can definitely relate to your feelings right now! Congratulations Dr. Sco ! (Insert real name)

The not being able to stay at Wynn part was definitely depressing...but at least the rest of the trip wasn't a total bummer.

And Sco...please tell me your bank/credit union covers ATM fees. Multiple double digit withdrawals are terribly costly otherwise. And sucks to hear CET yanked MJ...probably a shortsighted decision because I'm sure the ~85% setting is available on it, which CET loves. Now "Cheers", I always hated that game because I ran like crap...and the music will literally put you to sleep if you aren't hitting much.. not shocked they dumped it.

Also it sounds like your qualifying process was a much bigger pain in the ass than mine...Congrats on passing!!

I really got a kick out of your report! Lots of ups and downs made it more realistic to me than some of the fairy tale trip reports I have read. Congratulations on all of your grad school achievements. Very impressive!

Great job on getting the SWA credit for an hour wait, but you are worse than I am! You didn't even give it time to burn a hole in your pocket :)

I read it. I didn't think it was that bad. You made the best out of it. No loss of respect.

Thanks for the trip report. I can't imagine planning a trip to stay at the Wynn and ending up downtown. You certainly made the best of a bad situation. Congrats on the pass on your exam, finishing the manuscript review, getting the SW credits, and booking your next trip.

Didn't think it was that bad either, and in the end I think it's a good thing you went to release some of the stress from graduate school. When I was in law school, I also needed a catharsis- which was actually the beginning of my first Vegas trip in 2010- and now I'm hooked haha.

Thanks for the TR, was a good a read!

    Congratulations!

I think you did an awesome job of not letting a bad situation spoil your trip. I enjoyed the read.

Very nice report. That sucks about the Wynn. reading your report, I need to see Vegas more and try this Buffalo machine. Ok I'm there in 4 days.
