Since I will already be in Vegas during these dates, I have no reason not to participate. Anyone else plan on participating?

I played in it last year. It was a pretty good time. Some players will able to pick up bounties super easy.

Nice! I get the feeling the structure is similar to BJ tourneys where each table may have one or two players advance to the next round, based on a time limit...unlike a traditional poker tournament. If so, seems like a lot of luck is needed. I would be happy to win any of the promo chip payout, as it would be nice to be able to gamble with house money for a change...lol. I just can't seem to bring the luck I have at my local casinos, to Vegas.

What time is the tournament that saturday? I am actually flying to vegas that day and was planning on playing poker at mgm but if the tournament is just in their poker room, they might not have enough tables for the regular cash games.

No, it wasn't structured like blackjack last year. They would raise blinds and consolidate tables as people would get knocked out. The whole tournament took around 6 hours if memory serves.

I saw the tournament take place a couple years ago and it was in a roped off area outside the Ka theater. This tourney should not affect the poker room at all.

Freeroll?! A half competent poker player or better should crush this thing.
