Headed to Vegas in less than 2 weeks with another couple who are not members of any of the casinos players club. 1985 was the last time they were there and this trip will probably be their last time to Vegas because of health issues.

My question is this: If I get extra cards with my account and have them use these I'd be getting extra points, but would the casino know that it wasn't actually me earning those points?

Getting multiple cards is not an issue. Many people play multiple slots at once, you'll see some old blue haired ladies being territorial and jamming 2 or 3 slots at a time. It's at tables where it doesn't work, i think the computer just logs you out of one table and then puts you on the new one. In fact when I've signed up or gotten them reissued the boothling always asks "how many would you like?"

If you are strictly in it for the points or credits than this will work at slot machines as they will not be able to decipher who is who, tables may be more tricky with live interaction. Further, remember there action can have an effect on your future offers if their play is not up to your normal levels. So if you get comped rooms, food or anything else I would be wary of having them use you're card as you may risk losing offers if they don't bet up to your normal levels.

I guess they'll use the cards on the slots. If they do play at the tables: they'll be on their own.

I have been at a table and wife was at the slots and both worked. (or at least no one said anything to me about it)

There was only 1 casino is MS where I tried to use two and the account was locked up using two cards.

Only place we chose not to play two cards or link our accounts was Cosmo and it benefited us this summer cause we were able to book two nights on her offer and two on mine for 4 free nights. Other way around we would have only received two nights. I travel to Vegas more than she does (cause my wife is awesome!) so at other places it makes since to get points since hers will expire before she goes back.

So for your case yes hand out cards. Also I am sorry to hear about their failing health and I wish them all the best.

I don't see how them playing his card would hurt future offers as I'm guessing having one or two more people playing on his card will increase his level of play rather than decreasing it.

If they are in Vegas and playing at the same casino as the OP at the SAME time, it will help. If they are in Vegas and playing when the OP is not there, their play will now average into whatever the OP has averaged in the past.

Well that makes sense but the OP said they were heading to Vegas with the other couple. It's still good information for others who may thinks it's a good idea to give their cards to someone else to take to Vegas. When I first started going to Vegas I would give my card to a friend going down to get 1 point so I wouldn't lose my RC's. Bad idea but luckily at that time I barely gambled so wasn't getting offers anyways. We go a lot more frequently now and both my husband and I are Diamond so I wouldn't think about doing that now.

They will be playing at the same casinos that I'll be playing at. It has been almost 30 years since they were in town, and as everyone that visits this message board knows; Vegas has changed a little bit in 30 years. In other words; they'll be following me like lost puppies.

If they'll be with you in Vegas, I'd say let them gamble on your card especially if you think you'll come back to Vegas. So much has changed in 30 years, some good....some bad. Overall it's different, not necessarily good or bad. Lots of people pine for the "good ole days" but how much is just romanticizing the past?
