I've heard about their $5.99 off-menu steak and eggs special. They have steak and eggs on the menu for $9.99. What is the difference? Is the steak on the off-menu special smaller, or does it just include steak and eggs, rather than potatoes and toast the way the on-menu special has? Looking forward to trying it sometimes.

I've only ever had the steak and egg special. I "believe" the only difference must be the price, unless maybe the steak is bigger on the menu one. It does come with the potatoes and toast. It's really good. Hubby and I usually split one because it's plenty of food :)

I don't think it's the same size steak either. The menu one is also available all day while the special is limited hours.

I have just had the off menu special - but I think the one on the menu is supposed to be a larger steak. I think it says it is 10 oz. Not sure the exact size of the one on the special but it is a good sized steak especially for breakfast. I am sure the difference between the two does not justify the price difference. The off the menu special is a marketing ploy to get people talking about going there.

Thanks for the responses. The last thing I need is a 10oz steak, plus eggs, potatoes and toast, so it sounds like this is a better option for me, anyways.

Is that the only thing that's "off the menu"?

I don't remember it being steak and eggs, did it use to be something else?

I don't know the difference either. But, my husband (who is a butcher btw) freaking loves it. He gets misty-eyed talking about it.

Would you know what the "limited hours" might be? Maybe I'll be able to talk Ms. Gecko into going there for breakfast - not the same day as we plan on having their BBQ, however.

I want to say from 6AM - 11 AM or something like that. It should be on the vegas.com specials list.

Thanks for the info. I've since seen the hours listed as 11 pm to 11 am, which should certainly accommodate a hungry gambler.

It's a fantastic way to start a Vegas day. On a "guys trip" I usually have the steak and eggs special every day--it's that good. It's one reason we stay at Bally's--to be close to Ellis Island! And they've spiffed up the joint in the past year.

Even the walk along Flamingo (behind Bally's) is nicer now--Caesars (or whoever owns those parking lots) has added trees and a nice fence, instead of the ratty chain-link one they used to have.

Its a sirloin thick cut, with garlic green beans, choice of potatoe, salad and craft beer. Its a bigger steak than the breakfast which is a small strip steak, very tasty.
