Wondering of these three, which is the best overall? I eat steak and hubby only does seafood/fish, and it seems each place has plenty of choices for each of us. We will be visiting 12/17-24 and have an open schedule, so limited availability should not pose a problem....unless one of these closes like The Second Street Grill at the Fremont.

Overall, considering the ambiance, service and food quality, which would prevail?

We are considering Vic and Anthony's, Hugo's Cellar and Andiamo. We likely won't have comps at any and I am not aware of any coupon offerings, so I am turning to you as the experts.

We have greatly enjoyed Roberta's, aka the Flame, on every other trip and while we will mourn the closure, we must move on.

    Thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your guidance.

    1. Andiamo
    2. Vic and Anthony's
    3. Oscar's
    4. Hugo's Cellar

Andiamo is really an amazing steakhouse. Vic and Anthony's is also top notch, but Andiamo is just that good. Oscars is good, but the beef doesn't comapre to Andiamo or V&A's. Hugo's is a step below. They seem to be relying a tad much on their long established name.

Not a fan of Oscar's at the Plaza? I've had excellent steaks there with very good service. And, my wife thinks the seafood is great as well.

Oh, I completely forgot about Oscar's, so let's add that into the mix!

    Andiamo.

I have reservations there for Friday night, and I'm already trying to decide what to order!

I've been to Andiamo, Vic & Anthony's and Oscar's. Andiamo's is great at everything. Food, service, vibe. Vic & Anthony's is a little bit more classic steakhouse. Oscar's was good and the waiter was great but it felt old and not on the same level as the other two. I would say pure steak, V&A > Andiamo. But I loved my meals at Andiamo.

You made a great choice with Andiamo.

Vic and Anthony's is great. On par with some of the best on the strip including prime, etc.

I've only been to Andiamo so far, and it was really good. My next trip I'm going to try out Vic's.

Oscar's doesn't even use Prime for most of there steaks. Pass!

Hugo's is way better food. Oscar's wins on Atmosphere.

I was a big fan of the steak house at the El Cortez, great food and small prices.
But they now , I have been told , combined that with their coffee shop so doubt it is the same now.
It was a hidden gem. esp with LVA coupon

We went to binions and loved the food, the view and were pretty put off by the lack of service. I think we will go with the one at The D!

Oops, I just realized I failed to consider the Redwood Bar and Grill at the Cal.....does anyone change their mind if I include this one, or shall we stick with The D?

I too am offended. In a city known for steakhouses, drunks and the objectifying of scantily clad women, I think Oscars is out of line!
