Hello everyone and happy belated Thanksgiving!!!! Quick question for the CET veterans. I'm currently platinum and only about 2500 tier credits shy of Diamond. I'm not a High Roller and was able to reach those TC due to a couple of lucky wins at the slots this year :) Most likely I will not be able to ever reach Diamond again.

I have a quick two day trip coming up Monday (staying at Caesars comped) and was thinking to try to make it to Diamond. I only play slot machines (my bet averages between $1.50 and $ 4). I will have a bankroll of $ 1,600 for both days. Do you think it's possible to reach Diamond, and is it even worth to try? Do you have more and better offers if you reach Diamond. So far I never had an offer. I'm comped pretty much every day of the week everywhere except Cromwell and NOBU but no FP or FB credits.

I don't think it would be difficult for you to reach Diamond. You'll get a 1000 bonus for 1000 tier credits in a day (6am -6am).
The offers aren't better when you reach Diamond since offers are based on theo, not Total Rewards status.
There are a couple of decent perks at Diamond.....no resort fee, cutting a lot of lines and Diamond Lounge access.

I wouldn't play above your budget, but I think it's obtainable with your bankroll.

Offers are not based on what color card you have, they are based on your ADT. Being 2,500 shy, you should be able to obtain Diamond with your bankroll. I suggested playing big your first day and shoot for at least 1,000 TC's. That will get you the 1,000 TC bonus and only put you a few hundred TC's away from Diamond.

I have been Diamond with CET for the past 5 years. The Diamond Lounge perk is nice as well as the monthly free show tickets. The Diamond lines at check in and restaurants are also nice bonuses. Being you don't think you'll ever be this close again, I say go for it.

Will you be going back to LV in the next 15 months? Or do you have a local CET casino? If so I think it is worth it if you are this close - particularly if you will be making more than 1 Vegas trip. The 2 free show tickets are a nice perk although they are not top tier shows. Diamond lounge can be a good thing especially if you make regular trips to a local casino. Diamond is not a big deal - but there are at least a couple perks that you notice.

Thank you for the replies and advice guys! I'll see if I can reach Diamond with my bankroll, I don't want to spend more money than what I had planned.

My friends say I go to Vegas way too often and that I need an intervention lol :) I go to Vegas once a month, but gambling is not the main reason I go although I do enjoy playing slots obviously :)

Diamond gives you access to the diamond lounge. That's pretty much the big benefit plus a line-pass everywhere you go. Offers will not change (as has been pointed out) .

If a line pass and diamond lounge have value then go for it. Otherwise just play normal.

You do get twice yearly invites to slot tournaments which include free rooms in Vegas (Summerfest and Winterfest).
I have been Diamond for 10 years now, and the comps are no longer worth the effort, at least for me.

I have gotten more favorable offers across properties in Vegas by focused tracked play for one or two days, then I have with CET loyalty now.
The food offering in the diamond lounges have slowly dwindled to wings and chips , top shelf booze is gone except at Caesars diamond lounge, and the days of always getting a room upgrade to a Diamond floor or high quality room has
    even departed.

I think if you go to Vegas often where you can make use of some of the priority lines and lounges, AND you like CET properties more then others, then it would be worth it.

What is the $100 celebration dinner? It doesn't seem worth chasing Diamond from what you guys are saying. I'll just play like I'd normally do and if I don't make it oh well :) I do like playing at some of the CET properties. As far as hotel rooms, other than Caesars, I do prefer most of the MGM properties. The problem with MGM is that they don't give me enough comps :) As I said, I go to Vegas almost every month and I can always have comp rooms at CET. With my level of play MGM only gives me comp rooms for a few nights throughout the year :(

I always read of people getting amazing offers, even at the gold level, and wonder how they get them. Maybe the fact that I go too often is hurting my offers.....

As someone mentioned earlier the 2 show tickets per month, is also a nice perk, if you like shows.

I love the Diamond lounges. We're not really big eaters in Vegas, I guess we're too full on the booze so having somewhere to go to grab a bite is nice. The diamond celebration dinner is a $100 certificate that you can use in the CET restaurants and you must use it all at once. We've used ours at Gordon Ramsay Steak twice and the Mesa Grill once.

You also get priority lines at the taxi stands at CET properties as well as the shuttles that run to the Rio.

Once in a while they put the Jersey Boys on the diamond free ticket list.

I have used the shuttles to/from Rio and to/from Harrah's and Bally's for the last few years and never once had a problem with getting on. Most of the time there is no one with Diamond or above getting on the shuttle. I know this because the shuttle drivers ask before boarding if anyone has a higher tier card than me and no one answers. And i have used the shuttle many times no matter what time of day, what day it is (i used it Friday/Sat, as well as Sun-Fri). Perhaps the Diamond and above card holders rent cars or take taxis to/from Rio/Gold Coast. But from what i witnessed, including last week, the "benefits" of having a higher tier card (i'm Gold), are greatly exaggerated in more ways than one..........LOL.

Heres a breakdown of Diamond Perks, if I missed something hopefully someone will add it to the list.
    - Line passes for restaurants, taxi & valets. If valet has full sign out you show them your diamond card
-priority line for casino cages and Total Rewards Center
    -Diamond Lounge access
-2 free show tickets per month
    -Diamond check in line
    -$100 celebration dinner
-free access to spas, except Qua is $20 for the day

These are the unconfirmed benefits that I have read about but have never used so not sure if its here say or true, you would have to confirm these with a Total Rewards desk.
    -free cabana @ Harrahs
-free access to Carnival Court to Diamond area
    -free access to some clubs
-2 free tickets for high roller
    -VIP access line to shows
    -free shuttle to Rio

Then there is Diamond Aspiration levels starting at 40,000 credits
    -complimentary 4 night stay
    -$100 folio credit

    At 80,000 credits
    -$750 airfare credit
    -New Years Eve offer
-VIP round trip airport transportation (was using this even as a low diamond)
-Campion card to share benefits with
-early checkin and late check out (when I was a low diamond I also got this, I think its for diamond card holders at any level of diamond)
-reimbursed cheque cashing fees and credit card advances

Hope this helps and if any information is missed or now not valid maybe someone will mention it. You can always confirm with the Total Rewards desk to make sure.

Never play for tier status or comps. You can make an exception to that rule when you're really close to the next tier level and the new tier level benefits actually have a certain value for you. That seems to be the case in your situation. Going to Vegas every month means you'll have a lot of opportunities to enjoy the Diamond perks. My suggestion would be, play as you normally do on your first day. See how many tier credits you accumulated during that day and have a look at your budget for the second day. If there's enough money left in your budget to step it up a little during day 2 to reach Diamond then go for it.

I would suggest still playing within your budget, but maybe not splitting your bankroll evenly. On day one, if you are close to obtaining 1000 tier credits, I think it would be better to play a bit more to ensure you hit the 1000 tier credits to get the 1000 tier credit bonus. Obtaining a 1000 bonus should make it easy for you to hit Diamond. IMO, earning 950 tier credits and getting a Bonus of only 125 would be poor bankroll management.

I have a tangentially related question that has probably been answered ad nauseum but I can't seem to find anything googling... my sister is going with me on a trip in January during NFL playoffs and we plan doing a lot of bartop play during games. Since she never goes to Vegas and I'm a 4 times per year guy, can I have her playing on my players card at CET properties while I also have my card inserted in the machine beside it? Do they have a problem with earning double points this way or detect it?

I don't want to risk voiding my points or having my status stripped or something for doing something against their terms and conditions, but don't want all my sister's play to go to waste when it could count toward my ADT.

It's done all the time. I don't think it's a big deal. I'm not sure what issues would arise if your sister hits a jackpot where taxes have to be paid.
