I just noticed on vpfree2 that the Super Times Pay at the Gold Coast has been downgraded (about 2 months ago?). No more 9/6 JoB.

Has anyone been there recently and can confirm this?

These were my absolute favorite machines. I guess my upcoming trip will be my last stay at the Gold Coast. I'll take my free room, food, and slot dollars, but drive to the South Point or walk to the Palm's to do my serious gaming.

Yeah another VMB member confirmed this in Sept. sadly. The other, crappier 99%+ STP games are still there at quarters (9/6 DDB, "Airport" Deuces, and 10/6/5 DB). I got one last stab at 9/6 JoB on my early Sept. Vegas trip days before the downgrade...but didn't do any good. :(

South Point still has 8/5 Bonus w/DSTP (99.67%) for quarters as far as I know.

Im glad to hear the other games are still there. I'm up for some 9/6 DDB STP, but the added variance will definitely slow me down and keep me from doing my normal 18-25k coin-in. I'll definitely be going back to the South Point. I had a blast there last trip, even if it was only for a couple hours!

The only reason I play at the Gold Coast is the 9/6 JOB. Finally hit a Royal last August.

I have been playing there for a number of years at least 3x a year, a decent amount I have been Sapphire for at least 5 years. Never hit a royal, its the worst record for me. At a quarter play is it a hand pay. $1,000

No, they don't do a hand pay on a quarter royal on the STP machines. Luckily, I've been able to verify that 3 times in the last year or so!

Depends on the individual unit. When I finally hit a quarter Royal, I hope it's not a handpay... :evillaugh

What do you mean by a individual unit?

I found a couple of 9/6 JoB machines upstairs near the Bingo Hall.

The machines I saw were regular 9/6. I stopped looking around when I found it.
