Planning or next trip. Wife is considering either Aria or Vdara. What are your preference and why? We know Vdara doesnt have a casino but thats not a deal breaker. Thanks

I just stayed at the Vdara - really enjoyed it. I personally think you get more room/suite for your money at the Vdara. It is just a 2 minute walk to the Aria, and a few more to the Bellagio. I can't speak about pools and such, but the suite was really nice. I enjoyed having both the full size fridge and the Keurig. I was in a City Corner suite.

Vdara doesn't have a casino but that should not be a deal breaker (like you say). But to me the reason it's not a deal breaker even if that matters is because you're basically at the Aria casino as quickly as you could be if actually staying at Aria.

We stayed at Vdara last year and would do the same again if choosing between Aria or Vdara. We preferred the smoke free atmosphere, the easy access to Aria casino, and the connection to Bellagio.

The true suites at the Vdara are awesome and are much less expensive than the suites over at Aria.

I love both but I like having the casino where I stay simply because when I get tired of gaming late night, I don't want a long walk back to the room.

If I didn't care about that, I would probably stay at Vdara every time.

Also, the pool is not as nice and the workout room is much smaller at Vdara. I've never had a spa service at Vdara, but I wouldn't expect it to have the same/as nice amenities as Aria.

There are no restaurants at Vdara either. Just a small convenience store and I think they have a Starbucks now.

My panoramic suite at Vdara had a washer and dryer in it which was really nice. Not all rooms have washer and dryer but I believe many do.

not to be overly critical, but this type of thinking baffles me. It MIGHT be a 50yd walk from the elevators at Vdara to the casino in ARIA...there are longer walks INSIDE most of the large casino properties.
In fact, there might a longer walk from the elevators at ARIA to your room in ARIA if you are near the end of the floor.

    1. It's at least 50 yards from the casino to the North Valet at Aria. And, another 200-300 yards to the elevators in Vdara.
    2. I know I'll be highly intoxicated when I make that walk 7 out of 10 times.
    3. In my highly inebriated state, I'd rather stay within the resort which I feel is a much safer environment for me than walking around outside.

Like I said, it's my own personal preference. I've stayed at both many, many times and I'm well aware of travel times between the two. I love the Vdara but my preference is Aria for the reasons stated above.
