Let me begin with this, i'am a baby boomer that grew up with Rod Stewart music but never was totally impressed..... Until now! Went to his Sunday show cuz this week I am solo (my wife was never a fan) and tics were only $49. The show begins with his extremely talented 4 or 5 piece band, 3 very Good looking women that played the trumpet, sax, and violin. There also are his three back up singers that I swear are talented enough to have their own show.

Then came Rod with his signature hair and gravelly voice.... The audience went crazy! I guess I've never realized the number of hit songs he has made in his career, he just kept belting them out with the crowd responding louder and louder. It was phenomenal!!! Then when things settled down a bit, he goes into his love songs that everyone could relate. His voice is one of a kind that is recognized worldwide. The middle of the show he sings a song while kicking soccer balls into the audience. Each ball was personally autographed by him so they were kept when caught. I would guess he kicked over 50 balls into the audience in that one song. It was a lot of fun...BTW none ever got up to the 2nd mezzanine where I was (remember, my $49 seats)

The giant pink curtain on the stage said "Some guys have all the luck". That is so true with his career. I am now trying to convince my wife to go on our next trip, if she refuses I'll go solo again LOL. IMO, Caesars did well acquiring Rod Stewart, I would rank his show equal if not better than Elton's present show.

Good to hear! When he got big "the second time" in the early 80's I think, was during my college years and I liked him, primarily cause the ladies like him. You're comments brought back a lot of good memories... I'm sure I'd like this show too.

Saw him last week. You all have to remember he will be 70 next year! The show was great. I was in the 10 row and he moved pretty well. I thought his voice was better than 35 years ago.

Great to hear! We are going this coming Saturday night (hubby's birthday present -- he saw RS 30 years ago at the Budikon (sp?) in Tokyo while in the USMC -- and I wasn't extremely excited about it until now. We, too, are in the 10th row (good seats, Packer?). Thanks for the review for getting me pumped up to go.

Thanks for starting this thread, Sam! I wasn't all that excited about this show until I read your review. Then we went. WOW, what a show! Although I liked his music, I'm now a huge fan of the man. His show was non-stop great; his band could be a show on its own -- that's how good they were. We were also treated to his daughter Ruby singing one song alone and then one with him. The soccer ball thing was great, too. One thing to note if you go: cameras are usually not allowed, but he invites you to use yours all you want. He even let people walk up to the stage as he's performing and take a pic (as long as you go back to your seat). I wish I'd have known that since I didn't bother to charge my phone; I figured the camera rule would be in tact. I'd see this show again in a heartbeat.

As far as ticket sales, the very front section wasn't completely full (I'd say 85%), but the rest of the theater looked to be. This was on a Saturday night.

We went to his show in May. It was the second night of him first starting at Ceasars. I wasn't that super excited about going, but hubby wanted to do something special that trip. He also wanted to see a show at the Colesseum. The first night tix4tonight didn't have any Rod Stewart tickets. The second night they did, so we also had the $49 tickets. I was impressed. He does put on a great show, and has a lot of backup singers and band members. It was well worth the 1/2 price tickets, even if we were up high. A couple balls got close but not quite in our area. Don't forget the balloon drop. Do they still do that at the show? I remember people carrying some of the balloons around the casino afterward. Good show, glad we went.

We went this Wednesday - as already mentioned, great performer at 69 yrs! Yes the balloons drop. He kicked @ 20 balls. We were on the first mez and two came close but, not quite to the seats. The whole show and musicians were great. The one woman playing violin, mandolin and singing was amazing.

    Definitely recommend.

was there when he was performing but did not go. Guess I should have. I saw him back in the late 80's so shows my age.
