I've been at some great craps and roulette tables but for me nothing beats sitting down at a blackjack table with a group of fun people.

Add in a good dealer with a great personality and an attentive cocktail waitress and it does not get any better than that!

Arriving in Vegas two weeks from today and always look forward to good times with interesting, fun new people. To me, that's what makes Vegas such a special place to visit, especially on a solo trip like this one.

Craps has to be the #1 to make "new friends" and be social..
A close second is Pai Gow Poker, which can be a lot of fun, with social people.

I second Pai Gow as a very social game.

Craps is very social & very fun, but the comaraderie is limited due to the speed of the game & its non-stop, "no-breaks" nature.
Gotta go with blackjack for more consistent social interaction - shuffles, chip-fills, new decks, dealer-changes... these all lend themsleves to making the good blackjack table more social (with the right group of players)...plus, since the speed of each hand is very-affected by the players themselves, blackjack players do seem to have more opportunity to visit with each other during the actual course of play.

I would nominate UTH as a good social game....I've always had a good time on those games....

I feel I can be myself at the blackjack tables and subsequently have more fun there with the other players. I'm much more reserved at the other table games, largely due to not understanding those games as well.

UTH is pretty social..but I've had some real stupid people at the table (seems to ALWAYS happen, since I play it textbook perfectly, people often think I'm CRAZY, and admonish me for playing "correctly" and NOT playing trips)

Free Bet BJ is a great place for lively conversation. The last few times I've played it I've met some really nice people and had a great time.

I play 75% blackjack and it is my favorite game. Love sharing a table with like minded and skilled players. But I do have to say there is nothing in the casino to compare to a craps table when a shooter gets hot and so many people are all winning together. Animated, loud, celebratory camaraderie, the essence of Vegas.

On a consistent basis any carny game like UTH, LIR, etc. seems to be more social. Unless the table is on a heater, other table games can be very unsocial and downright bitter. But when you do find those runs where seemingly everything hits, the highs at a craps/BJ/baccarat table are unrivaled.

I am primarily a blackjack player and like the interaction between players at the table so I prefer a full table. But I do think Pai Gow poker is the most social table game. It is a slow moving game so there is lots of dead time to talk - and people often ask others at the table how they should set their hands so that can start conversations as well. I don't play it much because it moves too slow - but it can be fun if you are looking to kill time and want something with a low house advantage. Very easy to learn how to play also.

If you consider poker a table game, then it's definitely poker. I meet TONS of people playing poker.

Poker players tend to sit for hours and hours hardly doing anything because you're playing about 20% or less hands per hour. Gives you plenty of time to talk and build rapport.

You can ask many of my Vegas friends which game they'd rather play with me and those who've poker with me will unanimously agree on poker.

In fact, they sometimes get upset when I don't feel like playing poker.

Craps is great for making friends, especially when it is a hot table. Otherwise, the Let-It-Ride and 3-Card Poker tables are generally fun and there is lots of social interaction.

Although the table's a lot more fun when people are friendly, I don't stay long enough to make friends.

Funny, my SO is a slot player and my game of preference is blackjack. When she is with me, she always keeps pointing to seats available at tables that I don't pick and I have to tell her that I need to get a good vibe and not just sit anywhere. She mysteriously gets the same vibes from certain slot machines:) So I tend to walk around and survey the landscape and look and listen to the dealers an players. Case i point this weekend, found a great table at Paris and had a blast (of course winning helps) with tons of great banter between the players and a couple dealers. I was over at the Cromwell early one morning with the SO and she wanted to throw some coin in. Unfortunately I had only two tables to choose from. The one I chose had two miserable players and the worlds fastest non-engaging dealer. I blew through my half of my bank in short order and got up and left. Yesterday AM at Bellagio, found a great $10 3:2 table with another player. Two others joined us and once again I had a great time - made.......$5 when all was said an done but, enjoyed the table. As Bardolator stated, don't exactly make friends but have a friendly time

I recommend UTH. I don't play Trips either and I always get ribbed for not betting it when I do get trips or better once every 20 hands... but no peep on the other 19 hands.

UTH is the "new blackjack" really. More like "blackjack on steroids" from an optimal strategy perspective. I'm sure betting 4X on K3s and getting some comment would annoy me too.

Live poker is definitely very social, especially if you're playing with older players. Also the low limit mix games I like to play when in vegas are very social.
