Welcome to VMB. I haven't stayed at Cosmo but I hear a lot of good things about here on VMB.

Just stayed at Cosmo on a 2 night comp Nov. 2-4. Rooms are awesome. Almost all of them have balconies. Casino was fun, not too crowded while I was there. Great bartenders at Book and Stage bar.

The hotel has 2 towers, one has the Marquee nightclub and that tower can be loud. I've always asked for the "quiet tower" and so far have had no issue at all with noise. The rooms themselves are awesome, be aware that they don't have coffee makers in them! Personally I'm not a fan of the toilettries brand they use, I have long hair and find it doesn't detangle AT ALL. It's Co Bigelow brand, its high end, but always have to bring my own hair conditioner.

I find the taxi line can look pretty horrible at times, but seems to me that the line does go way faster than I expect it to - there is always a steady stream of taxi's coming through.

The slot floor seems to do a great job in keeping up with newer machines, and I usually have my best luck at Cosmo. On the slot floor I will sometimes ask for their raspberry lemon drop martini, or a chocolate martini - they have always been available comp.

There are tons of lounge areas as you walk through. I'm hoping to try the famous verbena drink from the Chandelier bar the next time we go. Heard about it but haven't tried it.

I've eaten at The Henry, Holstein's, STK, Secret Pizza, Wicked Spoon, and Jaleo - they were all good, I would say my personal favourite was Jaleo. I was actually concerned going there since the menu didn't "sound" good to me, but the food was beyond great. There is a lunch special running at Milo's at Cosmo that I also plan to hit up next time. I keep hearing about it, securing repeat spots on "best deals in Vegas" lists etc. Have only heard rave reviews.

Cosmo has a place called Secret Pizza. You can google it to find the instructions on exactly where to find it, but it's a walk up place with huge pizza by the slice etc. There is no signage for it. It is down a hallway you likely wouldn't be wandering down, so it's kinda fun if even just to find it, but the pizza is good as well.

Personally, I really enjoy Cosmo and use it as my home base. I've stayed there 3 times this year so far, but always find some new stuff to do to keep it interesting.

Enjoy the trip and good luck!

Read the reviews on Trip Advisor and you will see that most reviewers love the place while 10-20% hate the place. But they appear to be describing the same place!
In general, a younger party crowd will enjoy the place, while the older visitor and business types who need their sleep will hate it.

Don't know but a lot of bad reviews seem to come from business types who are part of the Marriott reward points system and who think they are staying at a standard Marriott set up and then think the place is too noisy.

When I first met my now wife, we moved in together in a 3rd FL condo near the beach about 800 ft off the North LAX runway
sometime later an early 20's couple moved in to the 2nd FL apt directly below us
they brought loud parrots, smoked enough weed to give me a contact high while I was on the phone on the balcony have a cigarette

before they moved out?, they came up 4 times complaining that she walked too loudly at night..da fuq you ever notice FedEx runs TEN 747 Heavy cargo jets out every night around 10pm?, piss off!

who moves next to an airport or stays at a strip hotel expecting to have bank vault level quiet?

    Welcome

I have stayed twice and will be staying for a third time, 1.5 nights in Jan. I love it, though I am an admitted Casino Hopper when I gamble. I can gamble at one place at home, where else can I gamble at lots of places in one day and see the strange mix of people? I know it hurts my comps in general.

It is fancy, but what do you mean by how is the joint? Gaming wise, room wide, food wise?

Room tip - I would get at least a terrace studio, with a fountain view room high floor and you will have the best view in Vegas (wraparound may be better but I cannot speak to it) I always stay in the East Side tower. I was told they do not have 2Q beds in that tower in that room type.

I don't know, but whenever I am at the Cosmo, at night I always feel like I need to dress up in nicer clothes. Other places I never really felt this way, maybe it is all the club people going into this places that influences what I wear.

If you love to people watch, grab a slot that is near the escalator or main walkway when Marquee lets out, slow play, drink and take it all in.

Are you a big player or a low player? You will be hard pressed to find cheaper tables here esp at night and on the weekend.

Meh sometimes TA reviews at ******s looking for problems as well or expect the sun and the moon from a hotel. If anyone used it as a guide NOONE would ever stay downtown!

It's a very nice place. For the most part table minimums will be higher than most places but mid week and off peak times you can find $10 tables. The sound can travel from the club but if you're high enough it's hardly noticeable if your balcony door is closed. Make sure you get at least the terrace studio. The city room does not have a balcony and is just a plain but very nice room.

And I think most rooms have an illustrated version of a Chinese or Japanese Kama sutra, so if you get bored you can try and recreate some moves.

When playing at the casino, look for the most beautiful Italian cocktail waitress named Claire. She's the sweetest girl you'll ever meet and she'll take good care of you. She used to work at the Tropicana Lounge bar in the past and has moved to Cosmo. We'd stay there just to see her every day.

Good luck at Cosmo. I've stayed there in my last few trips and really enjoyed it. I think staying in a terrace room with a view of the Bellagio fountains at least once is a must. I've stayed in both towers and the East Tower tends to be a little noisier but nearer to the strip. The higher you are, the less noise. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Cosmo is lots of fun and enjoy your stay there. If you're interested in what their rooms look like (and possible balcony views of the Bellagio fountains), take a look at the pics in my profile. My room was on the 60th floor (6007... I think).

Best location on the strip, fun VP bars, probably the best variety of restaurants in one locatin.

Rates always seem pretty expensive, but definately worth a splurge, or use Marriott points.

Cosmo is by far the best property on the strip, atleast for myself as a 23/male. Good food, nice casino, great rooms with a view, and an awesome nightclub. You'll love it!
