Wondering what hotels on the strip have pools open through the winter? And which pool is the best?

this question gets asked often enough

that it really makes me wonder

who are all of these people

crazy enough to brave a pool

with the weather this time of year?

It was 18 degrees today in Chicago mid 60's there.... If the pool was heated I would! If there was a hot tub I for sure would!

I have done the pool this time of year. Its kind of nice, no crowds, lol. I know Bellagio and Aria have heated pools. And I think I saw someone swimming in a Venetian pool in late November a couple years ago, so I assume it was heated

I saw people in the pool at Palazzo in February. The lifeguards were wearing parkas and mittens.

I'm an old guy and definitely not a polar bear, but I've enjoyed the (heated) MGM Grand and Caesars pools when temps were in low 60s. Take a robe or a sweat shirt. You can't believe how good a steam room feels after one of these dips.

All of the pools at Aria are heated and open year round from what I found on the internet.

FWIW, friends want to hit up the pool in January if it's open.

Have they been in January before? I hear people say this all the time (e.g., my sister who wanted to go around NYE and was very concerned about there being a nice pool to hang out at during the day), and it generally turns out that they have no idea that it's not 90 degrees and sunny year-round in Vegas.

They have... last year... with me. I've been in January many times. It's really hit or miss. Last January it was nice during the day... not bathing suit nice, but nice enough for short sleeves. Several years ago it was frigid.

With the heated pool and some heaters in the cabanas (i'm just assuming they have some), it might not be that bad. Of course, only if it's over 60 during the day. That's a big "if," though.

I've gotten out of The Plaza rooftop pool --
looked over at Binion's Temperature sign -
saw 102 degrees --- the wind was blowing good -
and I got a chill getting out of the pool - all wet.
102 degrees and I gotta chill ?.........and you guys are at 60 degrees ?
    Wow............good for you.......not me.

The golden nugget pools are both open and both heated (insanely heated, 85-90F!). The tropicana pool is also open, as it has a barrier that makes it "indoor" inside the back tower.

Seems like people that are shocked about people using pools in January are people who live in places where it doesn't get actually cold. And don't get me wrong, I know Vegas can get "cold"...but if you live where I do, a strong sunny day in January that's in the low 60s with a heated pool is doable if you really want to hang out at the pool or swim. You're talking about people who come from areas where, in January, you can go a week without the high temp getting above 10. 62 is glorious in January. (I'm not that big a swimmer, but I can easily see people doing this if the pool is heated).
