Three days of golf -- Coyote and Shadow, too -- then Terri flies in for the weekend. Good stuff.

I will on Facebook. I don't use the mobile app for VMB.

Looks cold by my standards. Nothing a little morning coffee won't cure waiting for the chill to lift. (Yes, snowbelters, I did say chill. lol)

yeah it's going to be a bit cold, but still not bad this time of year.

this time a couple of years ago it was snowing the morning we wanted to golf...

Really curious about course conditions Ken. I'm sure the routing is the same. Fairways, rough, greens, & bunker conditions will need your experienced take.
I'll be there in a month unless you pan it. Please make it good.

I know they messed with 7, which for a resort course probably warranted some messing with. Always loved 15.

    Ken,

Be sure to check if Natalie is sunning herself at her pool adjacent to the #xx tee.

Hope the ball flies straight and hole looks about 6 inches wide!

I'm in Vegas one month from now and am thinking of trying Reflection Bay or even Cascata (one of the few courses I haven't golfed yet in the area). Curious about condition as well!

Have fun (and enjoy the drive out to Coyote - ha, ha!)

    Ken,

Enjoy Reflection, Coyote, and Shadow... Won't have the opportunity to golf there until April 2015.

Will look forward to your trip report!

But Ken doesn't write TRs. lol

For those heading to Reflection Bay soon ... she's back!! You won't notice a lot of changes, just about two dozen bunkers removed here and there but the only material change is to #7, where the Horseshoe bunker behind the green is gone, replaced by a much-needed expansion to the green back there. But still a tough approach for shorter hitters who can't carry the barranca on the drive. (Oh, a lot of the overgrowth was cleaned out of that arroyo, too, which was needed even before the closer, and lotsa that type of needed maintenance elsewhere on the course.)

Conditioning was great considering this thing was dead of the past six years. Greens are smooth and fast, but receptive. Everything isn't yet buttoned-down perfectly but it also doesn't look like Las Vegas Golf Club. That's for you, Joe!! ;)

As for the Falls ... as I said before, it is no more. The greenness is the city of Henderson requiring the property owner to maintain as greenspace the immediately visible holes on the entry (so 17 and 18) and the front nine routing through the tracts.

And any who has not done so, I say again for the fourth time ... go to Coyote Springs.

Played with some great peeps each day. Friends new I made on the first tee, friends from here, and a friend from the old hood. That is what it is all about, ultimately. OK, 84 at Coyote going out in 44 and while taking a triple on the back doesn't suck, either. I ran out of fingers and toes to know what I did at Shadow.

Thanks for the update! It helps me decide where my first day of golf will be now - at Lake Las Vegas staying at Westin on Stay and Play Package.

Glad to hear about Coyote Springs - it continues to be my favorite in the area - I'm at 4 times now, too! (and an impressive 84 on that track - How many three putts!!???)

Thanks for getting my golf mojo up - it's tough to sit at home looking out at the dismal abyss they call the cold and barren Prairies in Alberta!
