Looking to possibly book one of these MGM properties for a weeklong stay over Xmas this year. Looking to get opinions and preferences regarding JUST the standard rooms, in terms of cleanliness, housekeeping, amenities, heck even the bed and towels. Not interested in hearing about the other stuff like the casino, dining, etc. Just the actual rooms and their quality.

I know Mirage and Bellagio were renovated fairly recently, but at the same time in terms of ranking it seems to always go Bellagio > Aria > Mirage, so will this also reflect in the rooms?

    Thanks!

I'll also add that I'm considering the Wynn as well. Wynn seems to get very favorable reviews here, would you say it's a clear cut above even Aria/Bellagio?

If you'd like, also throw in thoughts on the Vdara. Those 5 hotels are the only ones I'm considering for this trip. Again, just opinions on the rooms.

Are you paying out of pocket?

What would matter to me is that mLife get 25 Tier Credits per dollar spent on rooms.

If you trying to compare apples to apples, in that case your would need to compare suites at Aria, Bellagio, and Mirage

Wynn is an all-suite hotel, so there's really no comparison. I have not stayed in a suite at Mirage, Bellagio, or Aria.
    AFAIK

    Wynn
    Bellagio
    Aria
    Mirage

is how they rank on the cost scale.

I have only stayed at Mirage and Wynn.

Just considering base-level rooms and nothing else, I would say Aria > Bellagio > Mirage.

Mirage is a nice property overall, and the rooms have been renovated, but it's still an older hotel with rooms that are on the small size. The bathrooms in particular are pretty tiny. Service is fine but unremarkable. Bellagio rooms are also recently renovated, and the fountain-view rooms in the main tower are fantastic. If you truly mean just the standard room, though, those are almost certainly going to be in the Spa Tower, which is fine but a hike from the casino, the restaurants, and pretty much everything else. I give Aria the nod because not only are the standard rooms incredibly nice, and the service fantastic as well, but the elevator lets you off right on the main floor.

Aria for sure. Had what they consider a crappy room and it beats the pants off Mirage and Bellagio.

If the room is your only consideration I would go for Aria. If the atmosphere of the entire resort is also a consideration I would go for: Wynn, Bellagio, Aria, Mirage. But that's just personal preferance.

    Wynn > Aria > Bellagio > Mirage

Wynn is not all suite, Encore is.

I would go with Aria - I consider it and Bellagio to be of roughly similar quality, but I prefer the more modern feel of Aria over the classical Bellagio. Wynn is probably slightly better, but I personally like staying closer to the center of the Strip. Mirage is a distant last place, although it's also a fine hotel.
