Is it too early for a Super Bowl thread?

We have been going to LV for SB weekend for the last 15 years. Guys trip with 5 – 10 of us. Arrive Thursday and leave on Monday
We stay at CET properties on the strip because the rooms are comp and good location.

Our trips include DT on Thursday, golf and show on Friday and a nice get together meal Saturday evening. We have lucked out the past several years and the weather has been good for golf. Our Saturday meal is at Il Fornaio at NYNY or Canaletto at Venetian. We know the owner and the meal is comp. Score!

Sunday SB party is usually a VIP party at Paris. Great buffet, lots of large screens and you can get your picture taking with the cheerleaders. Some ex NFL players to talk and take pictures. Betting area at event. Free hats & shirts. Very nice time. Did I forget all the free booze you want?

If you have never been and are a sports junkie, you must go once. Probably one of the busiest weekends in LV.

How about you? Anything special you do in LV for SB weekend?

I'm with you Joe.Just booked my trip couple of weeks ago, birthday present from girlfriend. This will be my 3rd Super Bowl. Always wanted to do it and now I'm hooked. I keep hoping Patriots make it back and this year looks promising. I haven't set my itinerary yet as I am going solo, but it will be great. Good Luck to you. GO PATRIOTS!!!!!

Going Thursday - Tuesday with two other couples with access to the Big Game at Orleans....it is a crazy weekend as we go to LVH(?) Friday for the teasers and then have to go back Monday to cash prior to rental return. The drinking gambling eating socializing makes time go fast and throws schedules into disarray.....played golf last year at 2 different courses (Friday / Saturday) and had a great time with great weather.....

Well, to answer your thread question, no I don't think so. The thread might start slowly, but most likely will pick up more traffic as the event comes closer.

Who knows, other groups of people going to SB weekend would suggest get-togethers, casino hops, club crawls, and next thing you know, there will be thousands of VMB'ers clogging the Strip, all wearing green wristbands.

People will be curious, will enquire, and all of a sudden, we'll have lots and lots of new VMB members.

Seriously though, I think starting the thread is a good idea.

This will be our 13th superbowl in Vegas. Staying at venetian again and going to their big game party. I managed to snag some of the hard to get seats at e by Jose Andres that weekend. Looking forward to the weekend and if you see me wearing my green VMB wrist band make sure to say hi.

I'll be there! I'll probably be doing the Cosmo party. I've been in for March madness and had a blast. I want to do something like I did at the Monte Carlo Pub which had a small buffet and open bar. I know the weekend is pretty crazy, but by Monday does it calm down to the usual off peak levels? I need some craps time!

This SB will be my second time going to vegas for the game. I enjoyed Mandalay Bay last year. So I am debating between doing it at MB again, Aria, or Cosmo. We shall see ....

I was entertaining the thought of being in Vegas during SB.

Talking about craps time, I was wondering if I would position myself at the craps table juuussstt before the end of the SB game. My Bankroll would be substantial enough to weather the variance. When the hordes of drunken, shit-faced, revelers from the SB party stumble and corral the craps table, I will be set.!!

Should make for a great people-watching, hopefully fun and hillarious drunken hot rollin table, no???:beer::drunk::banana:

At the nicer joints I would be expecting $25 craps at the minimum. Probably a few $50 and $100 tables at the Cosmo. I pretty much have relegated myself to slots or VP on Saturday and Sunday. If I wasn't so painfully close to the next tier at Cosmo I would spread my play around some more. On Monday morning, I'm hitting the craps table hard. Hopefully Steve or the Russian lady's crew will be dealing.

Yikes.... I forgot that they do bump up the table minimums during that weekend. I don't think I can drum up that much ammo to stay the course, ha ha!

I'm a Downtown low roller actually. Your post got me thinking of trying it at my home casino the Cal or better yet at MSS. I never visited during SB weekend but I'm pretty sure I could drum up the bankroll to weather the variance there. I'm thinking they would bump up their tables to the $10 to $25 level. Right now it's just a thought going through my mind....

There's always the $3 table at Freemont! Haha. On normal weekeends I often see $15 and $25 tables at Cosmo so I fully expect $25 to be the starting point for Cosmo during super bowl weekend. I do most of my craps at Cosmo during the day during the week.

The times I have been it is bumped about noon Saturday through Super Bowl Sunday midnight....if bumping occurs at all(?)...there was one 5 $ craps table Saturday night which was packed...Last 2 years at the Orleans the minimums went from 5 $ to 10 $ and there was a 25 $ table as well. And space was a premium after the game......not so much Saturday night....bj was similar...up to 10 $....could be machine time during the hike if too much out of the budget plans.

Vegas could pull it off easily if it had the stadium. I'm getting excited about this years game as it'll be my first in lv. I told the gf if I'm up big Saturday night or hit a jackpot, I'm renting a car and driving down for the game should the Cowboys be in it.
