Short 7 hours in Shreveport 11/3 after 9 hours in Vegas.

So I go to Vegas on Halloween for a quick trip and realized I still need to gamble more so I head to Shreveport/Bossier City for a quick day trip. I was given some free Baccarat money, Free play and some free food vouchers. So I needed to finish off with a win this weekend. I jump in the car and off I go.
I get Shreveport in no time, Almost as fast as flying to Vegas. I head to Sam’s Town first. Picked up my free money for GAS and free play. Sat down at the Baccarat table and lose the free play right away. Get a Marker and Win a few hundred. Buy the marker back and go cash in the Free food voucher. I don’t know why I did as I’m not hungry, so I get a bunch of RED BULLS with the vouchers. Get in the car and drive to Margaritaville. This is the newest casino in Bossier City so it is pretty nice and it is the only one that is not a boat. The entire gaming area has water flowing under it so it is on water. ( LMAO Now if ONLY TEXAS can get away with doing this). Margaritaville has Free money for Baccarat players you get a voucher and get CASH at the window. I go sit at the table and get a Marker and start to play a big bank run then it chops and I lose it and then I get up go play Black jack and win back what I lose and go back to Baccarat another bank run of 7 sand I’m up $2600 after commission and marker buy back I cash out. Crap I got to play my free play. Guess I'll need to go back.

I head to Horseshoe . I just go so I can get a snack at the diamond lounge. I see a bunch of people getting a pots and pan set and knife set so I go ask if I got a invite so they say no but if you get 200 Tier Credits you can get one. Ok so I go play Baccarat. After a few hands the shoe ends and I go play Video Poker. I try Double bouns Poker. I usually play JOB but was told this was better. I have never gotten anything higher than a full house. I did hit a full boat and a few pair and two pairs and trips.
I see two 9’s and hold them and get the other two and a 8 on the draw. MY FIRST 4OAK. It only pays $250 but I’ll take it for a $5 bet.
I go back to baccarat since this should be a sign with the 9’s and 8’s. I’m up a yellow and purple and I keep playing for the stupid pots and pan set. I don’t know how many points I have but it should be enough. The pit boss says I need to play longer on the tables then on slots. If I really want points to go play slots.
I win some lose some cash out up $800 was up almost $2k but wanted to play a little longer for the dumb knife set. Ok I leave check my points and sure enough I had more than enough and I go get the set. It was the WORST and cheapest set of pans and knifes. It looked good but was really cheap about $20 at most for each set or less.

I can believe I lose $1200 for a set of pots and pans and knifes I didn’t even need or use. I ended up just giving them to someone at the door.

The real reason for the quick trip was because I didn’t get enough gambling out of the way in Vegas. I wanted to peel some more cards and the game at Horseshoe was MIDI. I wanted to shoot craps at 100X odds but didn’t so guess I need go back again to play craps.
No one was playing craps and the Baccarat tables was full so ended play baccarat and some Black jack between shuffles and some video poker.

I finally got a 4 OAK. Now I just need to get a Royal Flush.


I get a comp for Jasmines at Horseshoe. This is really nice PHO and rice and noodle dishes. I get a too go of the BBQ koren ribs and combo rice noodles and head back to Dallas. I'm home by 8pm. I can really make good time doing 120 to 150 mph. Ok 80 mph thru the city highway but open roads was clear all the way home.


I’ll post the pics later. Will be back in Vegas in less than two weeks. So maybe I should just gamble in Shreveport since I winning there.

 

Nice wins! Glad you were convinced to play DDB before your first quad came in! $250 is a lot nicer than $125. Generally speaking, whichever game has a higher full house/flush payout is better. If they are equal, then JoB is better.

And Margaritaville is the only barge in Shreveport? Wow that blows. All of Tunica and St. Louis are barges.

 

I'll be hitting up Sam's Town and El Dorado later this month to redeem some comps when I come in to visit the parents. If there was a band playing at Sam's Town LIVE you probably walked right by my parents...haha. I will have to do a low roller TR later this month.

yea I see now i did get a better pay out on the 4 OAK. $250 is better than the $125. Thinking i need to try VP more. Think I"ll move up to the $5 or $10 for $25 to $50 a deal.

Nice back to back trips! Looks like a couple of us will be in town next weekend. Will have to get together for some drinks and some craps, blackjack, bacc and maybe some VP. I have a feeling Vegas is going to be paying out Next weekend!!!

 

Since you are doing a mini-tour, why don't you head over here to SoCal...lol! I have about 4 Indian casinos within one hour from my house, and another 5 or 6 within 1.5 hours.

 

only been to PACHANGA close to San Diego, and Graton in Rohnert north of San Francisco casinos in CA. I liked Graton more. Went to Winstar and Choctaw but go too often to do a TR.

Your Shreveport trip inspired me to make a quick hit-n-run trip to Pechanga, a couple hours ago. 45 min drive there...first hand on Ultimate X was this...



Second hand was this...



After roughly 10 minutes of play, I cash out $605 ($100 invested) and PMed TIMSPEED...lol.

I speed walk to UTH, buy in for $1k. I lose the first hand, then go on a nice winning streak. After roughly 20 minutes, I finally lose a 4x preflop bet, so I color up $2100.

I left a $1605 winner for roughly 35 minutes of play. Wish I had this kind of luck in Vegas...lol!


I wish I could go to Vegas in 10 days, but i have my middle child's bday party next weekend. At the end of the month, I am going to try to meet up with TIMSPEED at Rincon and watch him play some VP. First weekend of December, I will be in Vegas.

 

Congrats on your first 4OAK! Not going to lie, my favorite part of the TR was the pots and pans, only because I've done the same a time or two. Hope you can look back on it with just a smile and a head shake! I'm confident you'll get it back and more on the EPIC trip!
