Although I have never stepped foot into the Golden Nugget LV, they have made me a nice offer.
They will DOUBLE the free table play I regularly receive from CET.
They will also comp Rush Tower rooms, and some food credits, up front.

My only reservation is that I am a Craps player exclusively, and I have no idea about their Craps environment.
How many Craps tables do they have?
How many are typically open during the week? (not just weekend evenings)
    Are they open 24-7?
How are the table crews and suits?
Are the Craps players skilled locals, or mostly tourists?
Anything else you can tell me that will help me to decide whether to take or skip this offer.
    Thanks,
    SteveAC01

    The GN is Top Shelf

    Here's my 2¢, I'd stay
The GN is the top shelf DT casino comparable to some strip casinos, except smaller, nice shows, pool, restaurants
I have found the pit & dealers take great care of their players. I've had the pit pay me when the dealer did not book my bet in time.
Reminds you of old school Vegas when they took good care of the players

    - 5 tables
    - 3-4 open during the day, evenings 3-4, weekend all 5, graveyard 1
    - 3/4/5 - 5K max
    - $5-$10 Day to $10/$15/$25 eve. morning/graveyard $5-$10
    - 24/7 most casinos are DT
    - Pit & crew top shelf
    - Tourists

I prefer the original tower that drops you off right in the casino. Nice suites too. Can't comment on Rush Tower
I've never slept in more comfortable beds than the GN!
My experience goes back many years, however since the last purchase not so much due to the infrequency of trips...others here will add updated info.

    The offer is a 'Buy'
The GN is the DT class to be compared to on the higher end
You can speak with Ron/Casino Manager

Definitely hit all the other DT joints and experience their tables/environments

    S,
I'll add that although I like the GN the most to stay at and give action, my personal success there has beed mediocre at best
The atmosphere is always good there, especially on the weekend or holidays
Put in the time necessary w/ action for the comps and go out where you can catch a roll, the house you are staying at will be there when you get back
I had one of my best shoots and times DT right across the street at the Shoe & down the street at MSS also MB and I like CR 100X odds on the strip, Mirage, CP etc.
The Hilton used to include your odds as part of your action bets, (perhaps someone can clarify) and be sure to have them rate your play...where ever you play & ask what they had it at when you leave.
Many times it is booked too low and that is the time to have them get it straight
If you roll 15#'s at Fremont, you get a free hat, or you used to anyway!
    Enjoy!

    Steve,
    Is this a MATCH offer?
If so, we've got a big offer from Ceasars Palace...but if GN would match it, I wouldn't mind staying down there...

1)-- It's DOUBLE any validated offer from another Vegas casino, but it is by "Invitation Only". You can't just walk up and get it.
2)-- You also earn it in several partial installments, by playing up to a high theoretical. (You receive it progressively). They don't give it to you up front.
3)-- It doesn't wipe out your loss expectation; it only offsets some of it. You could think of it as a partial loss rebate for solid play.

Original tower is the gold tower. Since you've played there in the past, can you tell me how they rate craps play? I stayed there this past weekend and I get the feeling they don't rate odds.

Golden Nugget is by far the best place to play craps downtown since Binions went South several years ago. They have great dice crews and leather-lined tables (similar to the Bellagio). They are pretty fair on comps as well. It can get a little crowded due to the location of the dice pit which is next to the main walkway through the hotel. You will love it.

I will be there in about 2 weeks, when is your trip?
I like the GN craps tables. I also enjoyed Main Street Station.

Their tables are very nice, it used to be Wynn's so it stands to reason like Bellagio's (if those are the same tables) a little bouncy though
GN does not add the odds in your rating anymore. I can't think of any that do.
    LVH used to years ago.

Main reasoning is you can pick them up at anytime, but same goes for your box bets. You can call them off & down at anytime.
Not sure about the flat come though?

yes, MSS is good, hit a lot of hardways there, the dice seem to stick to the table better
I also like the Cal for the nostalgia of the 'Golden Arm', perhaps the main reason I shoot dice, 'Stan the Man'

I just noticed that CR has dropped their 100x to 20x Odds on Craps
I suppose they must have been hit pretty hard.

Rush Tower rooms rank among the very best standard rooms in all of LV. Very tastefully decorated, huge bathrooms and no noise from Fremont Street. The dice crews are excellent as well. I love the GN and stay there every trip in a Rush Tower room. I've never had anything but great service from the staff at the GN. You'll have a great time!!! Have fun.
