I finaly got the crew to stay downtown this year! It is an annual January trip 22nd-25th that has moved from Reno to the Strip and now DT. Past two years we have more fun DT anyways, and with kids ,ect. , we are defiantly low rollers.
Since I have never stayed DT, I would like to know any properties with windows that open or have small balconies.

I read on a post that the Golden Gate has rooms(with windows that open) overlooking the FSE, that sounds great!
We drink, fly in,drink, eat, drink, gamble, drink and go home. Noise does not bother us.
Group of dudes 25-40 years old who are here to cut loose.

We normally stay at IP on the strip, or Quad , or Linq , or whatever its called this year.
Anything nicer than that will be fancy for this crew, except Steve.
He has no kids and will likley bitch about staying downtown, so screw him.
He can stay at the Palazzo and take a cab to party with us.
So that being said a clean bed a shower and toilet are all require. :drunk:

    Thanks,

    FFF

Yes, the Golden Gate windows overlooking Fremont Street do open. It's a happening place for a group of guys.

The only other place I recall opening a window was 4 Queens. They only open about 12-18 inches though.

Ya I had a room at 4 Queens and my window opened about 12-18" just like you mentioned. Easily enough to pop your head and get a real nice view of Fremont Street, and throw paper airplanes at the costume people down below.

BE aware - that floor of the Golden Gate (with the windows overlooking Fremont), is all non-smoking. So, if that's a factor, keep it in mind.
One more thing - the GG rooms are quite small, so everyone really needs to plan on having their own room... just a word of advice.

We are in the Carson tower at the Golden Nugget until Saturday. The windows open some, just not enough to jump!

Cool Pic! Thanks, just the info I need. Buddie wants to stay at the D, but I sent him that pic in hopes of changing his mind. I dont mind non smoking, I will smoke enough everywhere else.

Note: That pic is from the 4 Queens - not Golden Gate.

    Noted!
I think we will have alot of fun staying downtown. Fremont East looks fun , and is seems like there are tons of dining options from hot dog to fancy steak house. We do like to get the crew togethor for one decent meal. Now I just have to wait two and a half months.
