Live TR October 14th - 19th

First post on the forum. I have been reading the forums for about 4 months and appreciate the trip reports members have made.

A little background. I will be going to Vegas for the first time since I was about 10... I am now 23 so still young. I will be accompanied by my girlfriend of 7 years. She has never been to vegas. She kind of hates my gambling habits unless I'm winning obviously. I will mainly be playing BJ, Craps , and Baccarat. Never played Baccarat before but I know the logistics of it since at home I play a game called Bukdang, essentially the same thing. Bankroll... Still up in the air depending on what the girlfriend wants to do but 7k is coming along the way.

We will be staying at MGM since I had 2 free nights (thanks MyVegas). Leaving Boston bright and early at 7am tomorrow.

Expect lots of food pictures /miscellaneous drunken pictures. No clubs out grew them a while ago. And hopefully some chip porn.

Side notes: Thursday night football will be laying some money on the New England Patriots. Also want to play Free bet black jack since they don't offer it at the local casinos (Mohegan Sun and foxwoods).

They did have free bet bj for awhile at Mohegan, but dealers played a major role in getting it yanked from the casino. So unlikely it will come back any time soon.

I also like how the biggest grammatical error I noticed was in the sentence warning about errors. :evillaugh

Best of luck. Keep the post coming as I will be living vicariously through you until I get there on Friday. Who knows, maybe you, jd, and I can crash a craps table one night. Just look for the green VMB wristbands.

Pro Tip: Send the GF to the spa and charge it to the room. Given a 7k bankroll, you should play enough to get some of the charges comped off. Once she makes the connection that you gambling leads to free spa days for her, some the gambling hate may subside.

 

Dutch: That is a great idea. Sadly she is not a Spa girl. I am sure she would enjoy herself for one day. Her main thing is eating. She's not fat by any means. I asked her where she wants to eat. She said Buffets all week and In and Out. I will probably send her to the buffets and to go shopping.

 

Most of my playing will be at the BJ table after midnight in the Mansion.

JD: How are table minimums usually in the Mansion? I have to keep telling myself, it's a run not a sprint this trip.

 

$300 or $500 min on the BJ tables.

Thank you. I don't have high expectations for the rooms, but rooms are rooms to me as long as they are clean, have a comfortable bed and a TV I am happy.

Really the first trip for you both. Im sure it will be incredible. I wish you a great time and above all remember to enjoy every hour as it goes by too quick. Looking forward to some pictures especially chip porn! Knock em dead!

Sadly first trip [emoji30]. Just got out of college 2 years ago. Got a good job out of college and have been saving vacation time. I usually go to Mohegan Sun in CT. But the girlfriend wanted a vacation so this is what she gets. I can only hope for as great as chip porn as you have posted.

 

with only $7000, you might want to rethink The Mansion, unless you plan to get really lucky, really quick...
That's like having $100 on a $5 table...
