    Hi everyone,

I'll be heading to Vegas for my bachelor party 3/27/15 - 3/30/15.

My best man is only 7 (future step-son) so I'm taking on most of the planning myself.

I was curious if people had experience/suggestions with reserving rooms/space at a sportsbook for a day of basketball/drinking/food during March Madness?

There will be about 15 of us so it wouldn't too hard to meet a minimum food/drink tab.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

There's Lagasee stadium/sportsbook (sp?) in the Palazzo that takes reservations..I would not be surprised if they are booked for the SuperBowl already but check online and see the window for MM...Since you are getting in on Friday,I imagine you are looking at Round 2 on Saturday?
Other than that maybe the old LVHilton or Westgate I belive it's called now is set up for sportsbetting for big crowds and no reservations required..

Sportsbook reserved for 15 on March Madness never going to happen. You couldn't do it for 4 people unless you had a casino host who could set it up for you. Or several of you are known by somebody in the book to make 10K plus wagers per game. A bar you could reserve no problem and I agree with Lagasses in Venetian. If you choose that I would put my bets in early at the Cantor book upstairs even though they have a betting window in the bar.

You have another option if you want an actual Sportsbook for a party that large without reserving seats. That option is Bally's. The big TV's are so bad and it's such an out of the way location nobody goes there. The place is kind of an afterthought for most tourists and locals never go there. The place is a ghost town. That being said the stadium seating is awesome and each person has their own small tv in front of them. If you got there early enough you could all sit together. There is a food court about 20 steps away.

I agree with Sinatraatthesands, getting ressies for that many during March Madness at any Sportsbook will be a 99.999% impossibility. March Madness is big business in the books and the tables/booths are usually reserved for whales/high rollers by hosts.

If I were you, I'd be seriously thinking of a Plan B and I don't have a suggestion as to what that would be.

The other option is to stay at one of the bigger hotels where they have MM parties. For a group this size, you would probably have to reserve two or three tables at the party. They have food and beverage minimums of anywhere between $400 and $1000 a table per day. MM is one of the three biggest Vegas events of the year. So it is going to be hard to reserve anything on the Strip for that many people unless you have good connections (host, manager, travel agent, etc.). You may want to look into off-strip options

Thanks for the info everyone. We're staying at Monte Carlo so i'll check around that end of the strip to see what might be available.

    I appreciate the help!

Join the "March Madness in Las Vegas" group on Facebook. Lots of information about all the parties offered as well as reviews and photos.

A Strip sportsbook isn't going to happen unless everyone is willing to camp there overnight. You're really going to be looking at a bar that takes group reservations. You need to plan early so you know when you can start making reservations. Many don't open booking windows until after the Super Bowl, so you really have to act fast.

A few I can remember off the top of my head... Hard Rock and Cosmopolitan offer good MM parties, also offering unlimited food and beverage. The Pub @ MC is also a popular spot. $50-100 per person depending on if you want couch seating, high top seating, etc and that also includes food and drink.

Edited to add: Oops. I didn't even look at the dates, just assumed it was the big MM weekend. I don't know much about anything other than "opening" weekend, but it will be easier to reserve spots the weekend you are there rather than a week and a half before.

The NCAA men's tournament games start Tuesday, March 17. So if you're planning to be there 3/27-3/30, you will miss the awesome, huge crowds of opening weekend (Rounds 2 and 3, since the 'First Four' games are billed as the First Round). That means the crowds will be slightly smaller, but it will be difficult to find seats for 15 without going to a paid bar such as Lagasse's, The Pub or Blondie's, etc.

Kelly makes a good point. I assumed you meant the first weekend. This is the round of 16 and 8. It won't be nearly as crowded. You still can't reserve 15 seats in a book but the games start later so getting their early and getting seats could work most places.

Great suggestions! And yes it would be 2nd/3rd round of games.

I'll check at the Pub since that is where we are staying.
