Love Lawrey's. We try to go every trip. Their roast beef and yorkshires are the best.

Been to the Lawry's in Vegas a few years ago and the one in Osaka Japan a few weeks ago. The one in Vegas is much better. It's very good, old-school restaurant. Don't know that Thanksgiving is the best time to visit there for the first time but they do prime rib and they do it well. They carve it table side so you can get the size and level of doneness that you want.

Not recommended. I hate Lawry's for a million reasons, but if you are 90 years old and/or looking for 1950s cuisine that is your place.

I eat there every time I go to Vegas and the one on Chicago. It has the best prime rib I've ever had. Even better than the house of prime rib in San Francisco. The pics below are from a few weeks ago

It's been a long while but their service experience would be perfect for a holiday meal. I would go for it.

I'm glad you liked the pictures. The spinning salad is kinda cool and the Yorkshire pudding is awesome as well. Never had a bad meal there.

Ok, gotta ask a native Chicago-ite, would you go to Lawrys or Gene and Georgetti's for a steak? I'm coming out for a business trip next month.

It's on our bucket list for Vegas dining but didn't make it there yet. I visited their website a while back. Are they still requesting formal dress attire? (Dinner jacket, etc.) I don't want to do the dinner jacket thing but is willing to show up with a dress shirt, pressed slacks and appropriate dress shoes.

Haven't tried Gene and Georgettis but I would only go to Lawrys for prime rib. For steaks, I would do a real steakhouse.

Great Prime rib! Excellent service. I have been lucky enough to have a friend that treats me to it.
