    My Trip Report

So having written a few trip reports it’s become apparent that I drink, gamble and eat in about a half mile radius when in Vegas. Don’t get me wrong, that’s generally my bucket list for a long weekend, but maybe I’m missing out. Not to date myself, but I remember when people handed out fun books on the strip instead of hooker cards. We’d go use that $3 match play at one casino and then go somewhere else for that free pull on a slot machine. Just rolling down the strip taking in the different vibes at the diverse properties, or we’d pile into a taxi and go to some restaurant off the strip for a meal. I’m going to try and widen my horizons a bit this trip. I’ve seen some posters put up lists of what they were planning to do while in Vegas. Well, this is probably a bad idea, I’m going to post a list. I’ll call it a wish list as there are a few things that won’t take a lot of effort, while others will entail a peck on the cheek from Lady Luck. Here we go:

Go to the Welcome to LV sign. (Not exactly sure where it is, but I can look it up)
    Dine off the Strip
Go see Lewis Black show (another easy one with minimal effort)
See a Cirque show (I have seen a few)
Get Rocky Balboa Shave (NOT a Chonglosaxon one)
    Get a massage
Play in the Daily Aria Slot Tourney (Thanks Myvegas)
Hit a 3 team parlay (Loads of Fantastic Sports Betting to take place)
Get 4 of a kind on VP (Who wouldn’t want this?)
Get a Hand Pay (Pucker up Lady Luck, you bitch)
Put at least $400 in FP through a hi-limit machine (Normally I just VP my FP while I watch sport)
    Go meet Hunter
Throw some bones with fellow VMBers
Bring my swim suit to hang out at the pool with PPHold

I’ll give it a go, but you have to understand that I have a tendency to drink too much and do some really stupid things.

I’ll be staying 4 nights in a Spa Suite at NYNY with $500 in FP. Myvegas has also provided me with an additional $50 in FP, a dinner buffet at The Mirage, and $50 in food credit at Monte Carlo (never eaten there) along with the aforementioned slot tourney entry.

So I’ll be leaving West Hollywood early (to beat the stupid LA traffic) and checking out how my new car rides at more than 30 mph (also because of the stupid LA traffic) tomorrow.

So it’s off to the Bean for a few cold ones and watch the game. Morning can’t come soon enough

What kind of car did you get. I'm in the market for a new one myself and I'm looking for opinions on what to get.

Accord. I doubt I could tell you anything you don't already know. Really wanted the Lexus 350 is, but things haven't broken my way of late and, well you know. Had it a month and yet to find anything to moan about.

The Welcome to LV sign is about 1/2 mile South of Mandalay Bay on LV BLVD. In the middle of the road. For your off strip meal I recommend Lotus of Siam or Le Thai if you like that cuisine. L of S has more options. LT is cheaper. Have a great trip!

Stevie D have a safe trip in to Vegas. I'll be there on Saturday. I've brought my swim suit every time and have never used it. I might have to try out the MB wave pool and lazy river. Hopefully I can make it to the pool.

If not we will hit the craps table and have a few drinks.

Going to go for the Fire Bet

May I suggest Pamplemousse as the off-Strip restaurant on Sahara east of the Strip.

Ha lol at that Stevie..Just want to suggest an old-school Vegas Steakhouse that is /has been around forever for your-off strip dining. You don't want to date yourself but I went there in 1986 and it was a short walk from VegasWorld.Still open on Sahara.Pix on the walls of years/celebs gone by(Back then). They have a website to see the menu.
Nothing pretentious just the way a restaurant should be for me imo and I'm in the biz..All that said, like going to the pool for some people ihave not been back due to location and laziness..
But that meal there during a binge first-time trip to LV over 3 days with open bar whole time at Stupak's and other carry-on stuff back then kept me functioning to get on the flight home.
    Have a great freaking trip!
