Still trying to find the best way to get from airport to the vacation home and my car there. Damn taxi will be $100 and those sedans that rent for $50/hour say the charge will be $141 for the trip. Any suggestions?

Thought maybe a retired person would want to make a little $$$. It is a 40 minute drive from airport to my house in NW Vegas. North on I-95 to Durango.

Might try that $2 bus to the bus terminal by Centanial Hills Hospital but am wondering about ability to get cab to show up there for trip over to house. Plus sometimes the plane leaves before that bus service runs.

How did you get from your vacation home to the Vegas airport?
How far from Centennial Hills Hospital is your home?
What time will you arrive in Vegas?
How long will you be at your vacation home before you have to go back to the airport.

I think at some point you will find an individual near your vacation home to drive you back and forth to LAS.

When are you coming? If it's during one of my visits there, I'd be happy to take you out there for the pleasure of meeting a fellow VMBer.

If you cant find a taker here, try craigslist or one of those ride sharing apps.

You might want to double think 50$ for almost an hour one way.

If you are in no hurry Bus 119 goes from Mandalay Bay to Aliante Resort.

I have a friend that rides this to visit her parents when she come to town. I think she pays $6.

You can rent a car for about $15 a day. Take the extra insurance for $20. Drive home, ditch the car a couple blocks away and report it stolen.

    Problem solved for $35.

Good idea about stolen car, but after a while they may catch on and maybe turning in a false police report could be a no-no.

When the wife and I both go then we do rent a car for one day and then turn right around and return it. Which is kindof a hassle but cheaper than cab by long way.
Our problem is when only one of us goes. I will be there in December without wife and she is leaving friday with women who won't drive in Vegas.
This winter we will be staying for weeks at a time. Otherwise it is one week to 2 week trips.

Some point we may find a neighbor who will pick us up, but we are still carefull about letting people know the house is empty many days. Don't
know who to trust yet. Not that it is rough neighborhood but one never knows nowadays.

When my December trip comes I will post my exact dates and times and see if someone wants to sight see my area and give me a ride for a fee.

Might be cheaper to rent a car for a day. If you have a Budget, Avis, Hertz (maybe others) near your home, you can rent at the airport and drop off at that location for no extra charge. We'll be in LV from 12/3-12/12 if you need a ride during that time. If your date coincides with ours PM me if you still need a ride. (No charge for a fellow VMB member.)

Put me on the list of volunteers. I will be there In December and have a car. I will do it as a reason to stay out of the casinos. Plus, I always wanted to stand in the airport with a sign reading "Tominiowa"

I'm about 2.5 miles NW of the centennial bus hub area. Any good ways to get down to the bus?
