Decided to head to Vegas in 2 weeks. Have comp room at Bally's or Flamingo. Have stayed at Flamingo before. Never Bally's. I may be solo. Which hotel? And yes I know everyone has different opinions. Just give me your hotel and your reason. Thanks. Karen

I would choose Bally's. Yes, the construction will still be going on, but you can avoid that by using the walkway to Paris if going south, and using the crosswalk on the side of Bally's to Cromwell and going north.
I have stayed at Bally's many times and will again. You can also try to get the new Jubilee rooms in the south tower. If not, you'll be happy in the north tower which i like high up for a view of the north Strip or High Roller. The other great thing about Bally's is the connection to Paris. Lot's of food choices right down the hallway.

Since your room is comped, a tip may get you a Jubilee room. I think Jubilee rooms are nicer than the GO rooms at Flamingo.....JMO.

Our "home" in LV has been Bally's or Paris for many years. Love the location, room size, the new Jubilee rooms are wonderful, great restaurants all around - or very close walking distance. A big plus is also, even when it was a trip for only my daughter & I....we always felt safe there. Hope you have a really great trip!!

My family is also on its way to Bally's Oct. 23. We used to stay at the Flamingo and a few ago our group (that year we had 19 people) had booked rooms at the Paris or so we thought. We arrived only to find out that the person that had booked us put everyone in the group into suites, which was very nice but the price was outrageous. They were sold out and could not change our rooms. We walked over to Bally's and were so welcoming and gracious to our group. We were given very nice rooms most of them connecting but all down the same hallway. Saved our trip and we have been loyal ever since. The vibe at Bally's is very laid back and everyone there is very nice. The vibe at the Flamingo although nice seems to me to be a higher energy, definitely a younger crowd. The pools should still be open and Flamingo's pool is a party pool if that is important to you. As restaurants go Flamingo probably has more choices but Bally's had the hallway to Paris right there so between the two there are lots of choices. I would say bottom line a 20 something person would probably appreciate Flamingo more a little older and I would choose Bally's. Either one you will have fun.

I would say bally's, I like the casino better, and I also enjoy the restaurants.

Bally's, for the reasons stated above (laid-back, welcoming vibe, connected to Paris, acceptably nice and big rooms, etc.). I've never stayed at Flamingo but have walked through many times and it just hasn't called to me. I tend to wear a groove in the floor between Paris and Bally's. When I want something different, I cross the street to Bellagio or Cosmo.

Also, Bally's is very close to Ellis Island, if you are a fan of EI. (Flamingo is close too, obviously, but if you stay in the North/Indigo Tower at Bally's you can take the elevator down to the pool level, go out the sports book exit on Flamingo and you're on your way. Maybe an 8 minute walk from room to EI.)

bally's has been our home base for the last couple of years. disclaimer: i've never stayed at flamingo, so i can't give a comparison. i just know i really like bally's location, its connection to paris, the views we always have from our room (before the jubilee renovation, we always were in the south tower), the people are nice, and i like the casino.

Prior to this last trip (solo), I would unanimously chose Ballys but my best gambling this trip was at the Flamingo. Seemed like every time I played at Flamingo great things happened and the total opposite when I gambled at Ballys. Hotel wise I'd still go with Ballys.

Bally's...hands down. We've had cleanliness issues in Flamingo, including dirty dishes and vomit in the hallways that have been left to rot for many hours.

My vote goes to Bally's also. I've stayed at the Flamingo twice, and there won't be a third time. Bally's is much cleaner than Flamingo. The only issue I had was street noise in the Jubilee Tower facing Flamingo Road. The check in desk told me that the other side of the tower gets the club noise from Paris. After the first night I requested to be moved to the Indigo (North) tower and they gave me a Junior Suite. I have a Diamond Card, so I was on the upper floor and it was totally quiet to sleep!

I also find that the dealers and the floor/pit bosses are very friendly at Bally's and they have plenty of tables. If you look for them you will find $10 3:2 blackjack tables in the pit near the entrance to Paris. There is also a good $25 double deck blackjack game in the high limit room.

I was in the Jubilee tower a couple of months ago, and I heard a lot of club noise from Paris.
Not sure, but I would think the other side gets a lot of noise from drais.
I prefer quiet to nice, and would also take the indigo tower. I am old guy

We love Bally's during the week, but on the weekend, we probably would not stay there again. The Jubilee Tower is great during the week, but the club noise from Paris goes until 4:00 a.m. on the weekends, and it's hard to sleep (at least is was for us and the "neighbors" we talked to). The rooms are lovely, though! You could stay in the Indigo, though, and maybe it would be quieter.

Depend on the kind or room you are booking. A cheap room at Ballys and a cheap room at Flamingo are very different animals. I stayed at Flamingo once on New Years day. If it's not a Go Room it's not worth your time. I think Ballys is way better then Flamingo. I never complain about noise, but the basic rooms at the Flamingo have paper thin walls. Its ridiculous. Plus Ballys is conveniently located right next to a lot of better properties then the Flamingo. Ballys is also directly connected to the Paris so it's like two hotels in one. So you get all Bally's has to offer as well as Paris all within a few feet of each other literally since the casino floor at Bally's is only like 5 minute walk from one side to the other. The Flamingo needs to be imploded. It's for senior citizens.

Good choice. You'll love Bally's. I don't know where you booked on the property, but make sure if you're in the North Tower you get a Deluxe room high up. If possible, use the tip for a Jubilee room in the South Tower, either way, you'll be happy.
Also, don't worry about the construction going on out front with the Bazaar. Just use the walkway inside Bally's to Paris to points South. When going North from Bally's, use the front or side entrance of Bally's and use the crosswalk across Flamingo Blvd to Cromwell. This will take you inside Cromwell where the Valet is. Even if you're not planning on seeing Cromwell you can just walk through and out the door next to Flamingo.

I have stated my dislike of the Bally casino on these boards many times....never stayed there. I have stayed at the TIMESHARES at the Flamingo and loved it ( had access to the Flamingo amenities and I loved it). I just like the Flamingo overall much better.
