Just watched the movie Odd Thomas and it ends with him standing in the desert overlooking Las Vegas and all I could think was: please make a sequel. A paranormal thriller set in Vegas sign me up.

Also I would love to see a Vegas Vacation sequel where Rusty and Audrey having started their own families meet back up with the folks in Vegas. Cousin Eddie in a Rascal, cousin Vicky now the madam at a brothel in Pahrump, Clark finally getting Blackjack and being payed 6:5 and losing it, it practically writes itself

I'm always sucker for a good heist movie, how bout one set at the Bellagio Fine art gallery?

I'd say Oceans 14 but each one was a step down in quality from the one before.

How about you what movies set in Vegas do you hope for?

A group of people I know meets in Vegas annually for a week (more or less) of fun activities. I assume there are many such groups across the web- people who met online and then subsequently in Vegas. It might be fun to make a fictional account of half a dozen of "our" lives to go along with a rendition of that week.

I like the "Vacation" sequel idea. They could even drive up in the cars Rusty won at the end of the last one (maybe a better car for Audrey.)

An Ocean's 14 could be problematic due to the loss of Bernie Mac. It would seem that putting that franchise to bed, out of respect, is understandable. As much as I liked 11 and 13 (12 really only counts for the back story for some of the comments and jokes in 13), and like the chemistry between George and Brad, it just wouldn't be the same without Bernie and I'm not sure how to re-shuffle it with the respect his contributions deserve. I could see them doing a new series with George and Brad acting more in Ruben's role as outside orchestrators/financers. Idunno, just an idea.

I kind of did like the whole Kutcher/Diaz marriage in Vegas movie thing, but needs more Vegas time, maybe less drunken rich people partying.

    The Grand was fun.

I liked Lucky You as a less of a "Look at all the crazy partying that goes on in Vegas" movie and one that more shows that real people live and have (semi-)regular lives and problems in Vegas.

We've all seen Warren Beatty's "Bugsy" about building the Flamingo, but was more about him and Virginia Hill, but what I'd like to see is not necessarily a "Steve Wynn Bio-pic" but a film about the concept and implementation of some of the initial "destination resorts," like Mirage and then onto Bellagio and all the behind the scenes planning and dream-factory "wants" in the properties that may or may not have made it in, and then the resistance from local officials on some ideas and generally all the bullshit involved in building some of these places, from the financing to architecture & design teams and conflict, and then the interior design.
You know none of it went smoothly, it would be interesting to see what it took to build this new idea that culminated with Bellagio

You could, as a footnote of the film, show the continued expansion with City Center, Venetian/Palazzo and of course, Wynn and Encore

Vacation is being relaunched with the Rusty taking his family to Wally World. I suppose if it works, they could revisit some of the sequels too.

Personally, I wish they could make a movie about locals that isn't about someone down on their luck and depressing.

How about a Vegas reality show?
Show actually high stakes gambling at different tables like Craps and others.
    High Limit Slots
    Clubs and restaurants.
    Surrounding sites and stuff.

I know there was a reality show, I think it was called "Casino," about these dotcom billionaires who bought the Golden Nugget. It was about their operation of the hotel/casino. I think the reality show at The Palms had a group of young people who stayed as a group there, but wasn't necessarily Vegas-themed, but I'm not really sure since I didn't watch it.

I'm looking forward to see another sequel to "Think Like a Man." I'm hoping the third one also takes place in Vegas. The cast was great!

An actual alien invasion movie that 100% completely focuses on the strip. Like people in the casinos running and hiding in their hotels. I have wanted a movie like this for a minute

From McCarran, club go-ers,strollers on the strip, pool parties, slot jockeys, cabbies -

    Best idea so far.

I'll throw in a vote for turning the plot of Rainbow Six: Vegas into a movie. It needs a little work but the basic setup is perfect. Terrorist take over several Las Vegas casinos and special forces shoot it out to take them back. The whole thing ends up being a big misdirection which leads to a final showdown at the Hoover dam.

Or just make "Die Hard: Vegas" and call it a day.

Vegas would be a great backdrop for a terrorist action film.

I liked it when they blew up the Landmark. I'm sure lots of VMBers would pay double to see a movie where they blew up City Center. :haha:

there was reality show on CMT a few years back called 'Man vs Vegas' - some bald guy took 2 million to Vegas to gamble with the goal to double his money (I'm pretty sure those were the numbers but I could be off a bit). Anyway I caught it near the end of it's run and haven't seen it since. The two episodes I saw were pretty good, he'd gamble a bit and then he'd give complete strangers money to play also... I checked YouTube and they only had like a 5 minute clip. I'd love to find the entire series to watch...

    "Death Strip".

A beautiful, high priced, call girl (Jessica Alba) turns tricks with the rich and famous. In her spare time, she murders pimps and the casino hosts who work with them. Lots of interior and exterior shots of famous and not so famous casinos. Could also include scenes of Hoover Dam and one where she famously has sex with a multi-billionaire on a private helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon.

LVPD is baffled until they convince a former, and now very rich, retired detective (Johnny Depp) to help with the case. He tracks down Alba and they have incredible sex on top of the Stratosphere before they both jump off. Unbeknownst to Depp, Alba has previously given oral sex to an attendant so that Depp's equipment malfunctions. Alba walks away with a stoic look as emergency vehicles arrive to inspect Depp's corpse.

The movie ends with a scene of Alba approaching a black Hummer with a pimp at the wheel. We see her check her purse for her switchblade. She has a sexy, come hither smile as she asks the pimp for a ride. The Hummer drives off down the fully lit up Strip as the credits roll.

More of on line with Survivor, have top VMB's trip reporters ,like Nate, Beejay and his crew, Flusher, Pay Triple, Shifter, Joe, Dewey, Sonya etc all compete along the strip and downtown, Drinking, Food, Gamble, Hooker interactions,Frugality, Degenerate behavoir. with immunity challenges and get voted off the strip by the TV audience :wink2:

I'd like to see a full-length, modern, visually high quality, well-done documentary that covers the entire history of Las Vegas from the beginning until now. Maybe even make it a multi-part series (3 episodes or whatever). There's SO MUCH to cover and so much material available to make it interesting from beginning to end no matter how long someone might want to make it.

AGREED!!!! Would be Fantastic! And it would make a good Spin Off TV Series as well!
Greg Nicotero needs to jump on that right now! I heard they are already exploring a TWD spin off!
