My buddy and I meet in Vegas to drink, gamble and whatnot. He is an addict of MyVegas and was contacted by a host. He complained about the lack of Room comps, ie Aria, and this is what he was quoted for a custom comp.

    Mandalay Bay

    Sky View Suite (12/13 & 12/14)

    LP Value = 1,650,000

    Bellagio

    Resort Double (12/13 & 12/14)

    LP Value = 1,060,000

    Salon Suite (12/13 & 12/14)

    LP Value = 1,500,000

    Aria

    Resort Double (12/13 & 12/14)

    LP Value = 990,000

    Tower Suite (12/13 & 12/14)

    LP Value – 1,650,000

Any get offered anything similar for less?

Being two buddies wanting their own beds, the suites don't actually work for us.

This is news to me. Didn't know it was possible to have customized comps. Thank you for this.

This is very big news if they are offering customised comps. Suddenly the game becomes much more worthwhile.

If they are offering custom room comps. I would love to save up for a skyloft!

If they are doing this I'm sure it's for people who spend a LOT of money on the game. There have been MyVegas hosts for a long time but they are reserved for those who have spent tons of money for chips.

I guess you have to have a host and the host has to contact you to get customized comps, eh? I doubt I qualify... I've bought chips from time to time to get extra rewards mostly... but not on regular basis..

My buddy was contacted by a host with a "Birthday Bonus" of free chips, 500k I think. He just replied and asked why the rewards were Disappearing. When he received a reply, he learned about the custom comps. He has spent between $600-$800 on the game in about two years. Hopefully this can help someone out!

I will be interested to see if anyone else has input on this, seems a bit odd.

The thing that seems odd to me is that someone would actually spend $600-800 on a game they could play for free. I'd be curious to see how people who do that handle their bills and debt.

Really? Same thing can be said about those who gamble five/six-figures a hand/spin. Who cares if someone decides to spend $600-800 on a game?

They have said before they were going to issue "hosts" to those who had spent a lot of money in the game. This is a good incentive to separate heavy spenders vs medium spenders vs non-spenders.

Apparently, it needs to be repeated.... If people didn't spend money on chips, there would be no game at all....... Between my husband and I, we've only spent about $200. We have redeemed over $2500 worth of rewards over 6 trips... so far... I have spent wayyyyyy more than that for the other comps we get directly from the casinos, so I am not opposed to throwing PlayStudios some cash.

Honestly, me too as I would never spend that much. For our dates the Tower Suite would be $735 paying the online rate plus resort fees, etc. So my buddy is almost even and much further ahead than what he gets in return from his play at Mlife.

Oh, and to appease your curiosity he pays his bills on time and does not carry any debt.

Yeah, my observation was harsher than I should have said about the bills. But I guess I just can't relate to spending anything like that on a free game. And to the point I guess I perceived it(right or wrong) as a self control issue(which, in all fairness, we probably all have to some degree, in some aspects of our lives). It just struck me as odd and made me wonder, so I just ran with my reaction.

I'm sincerely curious, do we really know this to be a fact? Or is this something some have speculated on?

I don't see it as odd. Some people actually enjoy the games. It's no different than spending money on other entertainment and probably cheaper than gambling at the casinos.

The idea that people spend money on this game isn't that strange. At least you get something tangible in return. There are thousands of games on Facebook where people spend money and get nothing back. Note the long term success of FarmVille and if you really want to be amazed, Google how much money is made per day on the Kim Kardashian game

Yeah, all these facebook games are fairly new to me, so I see what you are saying about other games.

So I understand the general point being made, but I'm struggling with understanding it in the context of a game, that as an alternative, can still be played for free.

To put it in perspective, spending $300-400/year on entertainment is nothing. My husband and I lose more than that in one night at our local casino sometimes. Dinner and a movie with popcorn and sodas is just about a $100 night anymore, so when you think of it that way, this guy has spent very little on this game yet reaped all kind of rewards from it. I haven't spent a penny and have gotten hundred of dollars worth of rewards here, but if I were close to my trip time and really wanted a certain high-point, high-value reward, I would certainly consider it.

Also .. Depending on your level.. $100 purchased of chips can go a long way.. Plus you'll level up extremely fast.. As well as completing those missions and quests. $100 real money you can most def redeem thousands of dollars in Vegas. I definitely have. I purchased chips early middle stages in order to level up faster and get higher daily spin wedges and higher hourly bonus.
