I was just wondering what kind of crowd TI gets. I'm basically talking age. My ex husband and I would stay there often back when it was Treasure Island and I really enjoyed staying there. I'm 57 and love staying at the Bellagio but sometimes it just too pricey to stay there so I am looking for an alternative place to stay. I do enjoy hanging out at the pool, but don't want to do that at a place that caters to "kids"…..if you know what I mean. Thanks in advance for your responses.

I think TI is kind of an "everyman's" place... at least that's what the owner wants it to be. Their pool is small by Vegas standards and they don't do the day-club "thing" there, so you're OK there. My daughter, who's 25 is headed there this weekend with a bachelorette party that chose the TI due to cost, so it's not a "senior center" if that's what you're looking for... but I rarely hear of the young, vibrant energetic crowd wanting to make TI home base. Gilly's and Señor Frogs out front draw a decent mix of fun-loving folks of all ages. I think TI enjoys a very comfortable mix of ages.

I don't understand the meaning of the above sentence, but I have stayed at "Treasure Island" four times in the last four years. I'm in my 50s as well, but from what I saw the crowd was pretty diverse.

I think she means when it was considered Treasure Island and not TI - Treasure Island.

I never stayed there before the change of theme to TI, but have stayed there several times after. TI doesn't cater to a specific crowd. The pool has a diverse type of people, but they do play lots of current music, but it's no where near a real party atmosphere. The best way I could describe TI is, TI is what you make it to be.

Oh yeah...uhh ok...I think :confused2: I really don't know how to interpret that, but since the building says "Treasure Island" across the top, I'm gonna say I stay at Treasure Island. I guess if others want to say it is TI now, I guess that will be ok. After all, they do have that cartoonish TI sign out front :)

It means back when Treasure Island was a Pirates Cove with dueling Ships in Buccaneer Bay signified by the Skull and Bones in Quest of the booty. Now TI is a shopping mall next to another shopping mall with dueling housewives and housemen in Quest of the discounted sheets.

This is about right. I would label it as the younger person's Harrah's. It is for those who want a little more party but on a budget. Places like Gilly's and Senor Frogs are pretty generic and constantly on Groupon (which usually says something). Nothing wrong with the place at all (except that overly strong suntan lotion smell).

As with anything, it is what you make it. I find that it's fun, not overly large so that you get lost, and it's easy on the budget compared to some other hotels. In my experience, it's a great bang for the buck. The beds are about the most comfortable ever! The slot machines are usually friendly and I have a great time while there!! ENJOY!

I liked the TI. Their casino was great, nice and quick cocktail service and just a fun place. And check out their web site, they usually have some great deals on rooms, sometimes without the resort fee. Hope this helps.:)

I'm 25 and love TI. It's definitely one of the more diverse hotels. There are a lot of us 23-35 year olds but there are also a lot of older people as well. It's got a good vibe overall. It's been my 2nd homebase the last 2 years. Now ill be my home base with riviera closing

TI has in my opinion one of the best mixes on the strip amongst age/income/personalities/vibe.

I'm tinking (yes tinking) here - - - if you like Bellagio but price kind of a concern and I get that, Might wanna consider Mirage as some between Bellagio and TI. Nothing wrong with TI but Mirage could offer a step up w/o so much $$$$ behind it. Especially their pool - very nice. An option for you to ponder......

I am your age, and TI has always been on our list of preferred hotels in Vegas. The beds are the best around and the rooms are updated, the pool isn't the biggest, but I've always gotten a good spot for people watching and relaxing. Casino is easy to navigate and we only play slots. I like that they are always checking for your key card when you go to the elevator banks. They always clean the rooms in a timely manner and the staff is accommodating.
One poster suggested the Mirage and its a good choice too. Their pool area is wonderful and casino is nice too. I like TI's rooms better, unless you get a suite at Mirage.
    Have a wonderful time!
