Second time that I watched this show. The part I want to ask about is the role of the casino host. The producers, and the "host", interviewed in shadows, seems to indicate that the host's main duty is to procure drugs and hookers for the high rollers or rich party people. They call them Party Favors.

    Any thoughts on this?

I have never had a host.

Gaming Control Board did a sting not long ago at Aria and a host got busted gifting blow and hookers.

Are you asking this question because you would like to find a host that can procure said items?

While i'm sure it happens, I have a hard time believing it's overly prevalent.

It was a club promoter they were talking about in the episode. They connect people for business needs all the time and take a commission.

I honesty doubt serious hosts who've been in the business for any length of time do much of that "directly"... BUT... it would be incredibly naive to think that others on property can't or don't do a fair amour of that. Of course, you can always go find one of the cab-drivers you all hate so much... preferably one of Ethiopian decent. They have quite the network in town for a wide-asortment of party-favors.

I've always heard that it it's "party favors" you're after, the bellmen are the ones to make the connections (I'm sure a sizable tip would be part of the deal.....).

    Somewhat funny and related story:

Many years ago, I lived in Vermont for a while. I had an buddy from my home state come out to ski for a few days and end the trip with a night of partying in Montreal, Quebec. So, we stopped at a bank near the ski hill and exchanged US currency for Canadian, skied at Jay Peak all day (just south of the international border), and then drove the rest of the way to Montreal in the evening. I was driving that day, so I took it easy on the cocktails at the ski hill. My buddy, on the other hand, started the morning with a 100-proof vodka screwdriver for the drive to Jay Peak, and never really let up throughout the day. He was lit up when we arrived in Montreal.

Since we didn't want to leave our expensive ski gear in my car overnight, we had a bellman take the ski gear and other bags up to our room after we had checked in. My buddy tipped the bellman, and when he did so, the guy was very appreciative, and made sure we knew his name and that if there was anything else we needed, we should look him up. And then he emphasized "ANYTHING you guys need, anything at all". We didn't think much of it at the time, just chalked it up to friendliness.

A few minutes later my buddy was counting his cash, and realized that in his drunken stupor (and unfamiliarity with Canadian "funny money") he had given the bellman a $20 Canadian bill, rather than a $2 bill! (Remember, this was many years ago, when $2 would have been an acceptable tip, although a bit chincy).

Then it all made sense - no wonder the bellman had been so accommodating!

So, if you're hoping that a bellman might help you procure some "party favors", start with a juicy tip!

Not me.... but a guy I know... said that Limo drivers are the easiest resources for party favors. Casinos will do about anything to keep whales happy and attract celebrities, so this is not very shocking.

My buddy met a driver last year that hooked him up with rides and drugs. Called him this last trip and he hooked it up again, delivered right to the hotel.

Always nice to get actual limo rides as well. My buddy would probably get a long good with your buddy.

It was funny because me and my friends were heading back from the strip club and the taxi driver was a lady and she was like "You guys must of had fun at the strip club? You guys want to go to this asian massage and get a happy ending and full service?"

We said no, but I was like that was odd for someone to bring us to a place like that.
