Has anyone redeemed the 1/2 price 100oz beer for 4000 points?
The wife and I each have an account, and up til now only my account saw any action. We are using that to get a room and some buffets on this trip, and it has earned us a bunch of other stuff on prior trips. But since this upcoming one is booked now there is some renewed interest in earning points on both accounts.
I don't know how many points we will end up earning on it between now and November, so I don't want to set my sights too high. I figure if we can get a couple little things in addition to the better stuff we earned off my account, that will be good enough. The beer caught my eye as one of those things. I know I can get free beers in the casinos, and I also know by the time I get halfway through a 100oz beer (even if we share) it will be piss warm. That being said, I still kinda want to get it.
    I guess my questions are
    1) What are my options in terms of beer? If it is Miller Lite or Coors light or something, fine. If it is Budweiser, I would gladly pay the points tonot have to drink it.
    2) How is it served? Does it come in one of those tall frozen drink type cups, or is it in one of those guitars, or something else? (for what it's worth, I'm sure one of my kids would like the guitar if I ended up with one of those and actually was willing to bring it back on the plane)
    3) How much does it actually cost? Half price is great, but not if it costs $40 to begin with.

I got the reward but didn't use it. Like you said, I feared that half way through I'd be left with a buncha warm, flat beer. It seemed like a good idea but go for the frozen drinks instead.

The wife had a groupon for the frozen drinks last time, and I don't think I would do it again. A few sips were fine, but after a while it just ended up being a bunch of sugary syrup that I couldn't stomach.
