    My Trip Report

edit: forgot to add dates in the title, 9/21-9/29

Okay so here it goes, my first trip report, so bear with me here. I’m writing this ‘’pre game report’’ in advance because I leave for Washington DC tomorrow. I’m still on the fence whether to do a live trip report, mainly due to the probable consuming of shitloads of alcohol :drunk:. But there will be a report nonetheless, because other people take the time to write up their trip reports, and I love to read them, so it would be selfish not to do it for the other board members too (just my opnion).

Lead actors in this movie are Kevin (that's me, the author of this horror story,30 years young) and Danny (29) my BFF (not to be confused with Best Friend Forever, in this case it's Bald Fat Fuck. He got this charming nickname because, well to be honest, he's a bald fat fuck, but I love him to death though). We have known each other for 17 years now, and I infected him with my love for the USA (and of course Vegas). So what’s the best thing to do in that situation, book a fucking trip to fucking Vegas, and that is just what we did! It’s my 3rd trip to Vegas and Danny’s first.

We’re leaving tomorrow for a weekend in Washington DC, on Monday we take the bus to New York, where we will stay until Sunday September 21st. After our east coast visit we will take a United Airlines 7.05pm flight to Vegas (9.45pm local time arrival) where we will stay until Monday September 29th before flying back to Amsterdam.

Base camp is set up at the MGM Grand, where we have a tower spa suite from Sunday-Friday, and from Friday to Monday we got a double queen room at ‘’The D’’ downtown.
I won’t go into details of the planning for Washington and New York, and concentrate on the Vegas part, unless people who read this trip report are interested to hear about that too, then I’m happy to provide that!

So what is the’’ plan of attack’’ for Vegas? We will try to let it roll and see how it pans out, but we do have a couple things planned:
    -Shooting at the Gun store
-Monte Carlo Dueling pianos $100,- tab and Monte Carlo $50,- food credit (Thanks to MyVegas)
-$50,- bar @Times Square credit (Also thanks to MyVegas)
    -Mob Museum Downtown
-Visit (and survive) the heart attack grill
    -NYNY rollercoaster
    -Banger Brewery tour Downtown
    -Stratosphere observation deck and rides
    -Fremont Zipline
-LV strip helicopter tour ,sweet deal through travelzoo $69,- per person
-Go karts two 12 minute sessions per person through travelzoo for $39,- total, can’t beat that!

Other than that there will be a lot of drinking (and probably :vomit:), I will save the biggest part of my bankroll ($5000,-) for downtown to test freebet blackjack. Other game I play is baccarat and I want to learn and experience to play craps in a live environment instead of online.

Due to my work I eat out in nice restaurants quite often, so for me eating food in Vegas is purely meant to handle booze better, so there will be no food porn in this trip report, I repeat, no food porn. If you are interested in this I advice you to contact your local cable provider to verify on which channel the food network is programmed..

This is it for now, to be continued, thank you all for reading, and hope you will enjoy it when it starts on Sunday Sept 21st!!!

disclaimer: Some people may find my style of writing distasteful/offensive, please take into consideration that reading this trip report is at your own risk :evillaugh

Yeah it's at almost all the mgm properties now. I doubt downtown has much better rules either. Number of decks makes a smaller difference in this game. If you're bothering to count, double or single deck might be easier to do I suppose.

I think the first week we will be too busy with other things, and I'm okay with that as it's my friends 1st time, and I don't want to half ass the gambling part, so I decided to concentrate on the last weekend to make a good effort gambling wise.
First 5 days are mainly for drinking and other banter (but also some light gambling of course).

Nice. I'm going to be around the MGM for part of that time as well. I am hoping to take in some freebet at some point, though I'm not sure at what level. Maybe try to find a $15 table to get the feel of it. Tringlo, do they have freebet at the MGM itself yet? I'm pretty sure NYNY has it, but don't know if I ever saw confirmation of it at MGM

By the way i never heard of freebet black jack.... I checked page dutchvelvet posted and seems cool

    About
The latest Blackjack creation where the dealer pays for your doubles and splits!!!Approved in Nevada on 20th September 2012.Watch this space for updates to Las Vegas installations.

Will check site which casinos in vegas do the freebet things seems tempting to try
I assume all other normal rules apply?( i assume you only may double on 9,10,11?)

The free doubles are only 9, 10, and 11, but you may pay to double any other hand you want

Indeed a lot of Dutch people in Vegas next week!

@dutchguy congrats on the marriage, enjoy it and much happiness!

We are in DC now and amongst other places went to the pentagon today.

As we were taking pictures 2 police cars with sirenes on drove towards us, and we were questioned for about 10mins and were forced to delete the pictures we took of the pentagon hahah.. We thought it was quite funny, Pentagon police thought otherwise.

Okay here we go, let's kick this report into 2nd gear, I hope a mod can transfer this thread to the trip report section..

First off was the flight from Newark, scheduled to leave at 7.05pm.. Here comes the bitching and whining, Newark is the ugliest, shittiest airport I have been flying from up until this point, and I travel quite a lot.. 2nd thing was the flight with United itself..60 minute delay to start with, fuck!! Flight itself was uneventful..

But all bitching aside, we are here and I'm in the room getting ready to hit Vegas hard! Will update later..
