First Post, I need y'all's help:

I go to vegas regularly for long trips(15-60 days) to grind poker. My new girlfriend has never been to Vegas before and is coming out for 6 days in the middle of this 20 day trip and I would like to stay in a nice suite our last night together(She'll be staying in my room at the Flamingo prior). Below are the options Im looking at. I am looking for good value,(the most expensive are about $500 a night and I'd rather spend around $300 if possible) Let me know which you think is the best option.

I really liked the pictures of the Rio suites, but when I watched actual videos, the furniture and everything else look much more dated. If not for that I would lean heavily towards them as they are very spacious and come in low in price.

    venitian
    piazza suite
    cosmo
    lanai suite
    wraparound suite
    Bellagio
    salone suite
    aria
    corner suite panoramic view
    tower suite
    one bedroom aria suite
    Rio
    Masquerade Suite
    Masquerade Dexluxe Suite

    Thank you for any help!

What kind of people atmosphere do you want to be around? If you just want a good combo of size/price/decore/location, then I would look at the Mirage Tower Suites. I never feel out of place at Mirage, whether I dress up or dress down. I love cosmo, but always feel I need to dress it up a little more there.

I have not stayed in an Aria suite, but have stayed in an Aria Penthouse, which is basically a better decorated suite. It was very nice! Size-wise, it is similar to the size of Mirage's suite, with the exception of dividing walls between the living room and dining room. Aria definitely has a more upscale "sophisticated" crowd, but it is quickly becoming my favorite casino/hotel, due to the plethora of games, food, and comfortable beds.

Agreed. Unless of course it's in the winter, seems like a waste to have a giant balcony if it's freezing cold or raining! Then I would probably go for the Aria corner suite.

The Rio is a dump, don't do that, especially compared to the others you listed.

Have you looked at like Vdara? You might be able to get something great for a lower cost. I LOVE the City Corner Suite, very impressive.

    What's the exact date?

Even with as much as 20% off rack rate, the rates for some of these suites are ridiculous on a Friday or Saturday night.

As a value proposition, a Wraparound is not worth $500+ a night, you can't guarantee a fountain view, and you can't get any discount if you're only staying one night.

I hear what you're saying, heather. But even cold, the wraparound is nice. They have the big seats out there. Just take a blanket from the room and you can both keep warm underneath it!

Not a huge fan of the Aria corner suite, but that subject has been beaten to death on older threads

A vote for the wraparound suite at Cosmo as well. A good selection of restaurants, and as an added bonus, you can wash your clothes in suite, seeing as you'll be mid trip.

OK, this is how my thinking would work:

Moving from Flamingo, any suite is going to be great.

The Cosmo Wraparound is $465+$25 Resort Fee + tax = $550, and another ~$40 to upgrade to a fountain view if available. Unless you think this is the only time you'll ever be able to do this, it's too high. Once you do it, you'll never be able to top it.

A Cosmo Terrace Suite is $465 all in. Still not a good value, but it will get the job done for sure.

A Cosmo One Bedroom with a $40 upgrade to fountain view is $342 all in, and this will also get the job done.

Bellagio Salone Fountain View - $385 all in

Venetian Piazza View - $464 all in

Aria Corner Suite (code ARCP914E must book by 9/30) - $274 all in

Rio Masquerade Suite - $338 all in.

I'd consider a Diamond Suite at Monte Carlo, but I couldn't get a price for it.

Best Value - the Aria Corner Suite at a $220 base rate.

Most Romantic - Bellagio, Venetian, or one of the Cosmo suites.

If I was in your spot, I'd book the Aria Corner Suite. You will not get any complaints, and it leaves you room overhead for an even more impressive experience the next time. If you want Cosmo with the balcony, I'd go for the One bedroom with the fountain view upgrade.

I may put a damper on this. We LOVE to stay in suites - mainly because one of us often wakes up hours before the other. In those cases, some suites would not work at all. Salone is a LARGE 1 room suite. Venetian is also a large one room suite..

But - back to the whole idea. On the day you get the suite, you have to pack up, check out, get a cab, check in, etc. You MIGHT now get the room until late afternoon, leaving you in limbo. Then you check out the next morning.

If you are going to do it, do at least two nights. My choice would be either aria corner, or Cosmo. Actually, a regular room at Cosmo would be great if it overlooked the fountains. Or lakeview regular room at Bellagio is suite is too expensive.

I'll throw another vote for the Cosmo. My wife and I love the Terrace One Bedroom suite. Not only is the balcony great, the Japanese soaking tub is awesome. Combine with a fountain view and it's by far the best room I've ever stayed in.

I agree. The Terrace One Bedroom was really nice. If price is an issue, then I would go with the Terrace 1 bdrm vice Wraparound. If price is not an issue, then definitely get the Wraparound if you decide to stay at Cosmo.

She has never stayed ina wraparound, UK.

Of the ones listed, I would choose this one. The only other one I would consider would be the Piazza suite because your girl would like the bath amenities in addition to a great room at the V/P. The rooms there are very comfortable, probably the most comfortable in Vegas, IMO. With that being said, the view on the wraparound speak for themselves in addition to the great room.

    Have fun.

Palms Place is another to consider. You can get a one bedroom ivory suite for under $200/night during your poker run. They are over 1,000 sf, new furnishings, and if facing the strip a great view. If your room does not face the strip you can go up to either Ghostbar or Moon for one of the best views of Vegas to be found. No cover for those staying at the hotel as well and a great romantic spot.

Another vote for the Wraparound @ Cosmo. It's got to be a top 3 room in Vegas! (not including super high-end suites, villas and lanais)
