Hi All! Thank you once again for your support, opinions, comments and everything the past few months. Once again, it’s update time…

    Here’s what I got:
Every VP machine on the floor is going to be of OVER 99% payback. When I say soon, I mean as soon as late next week. This variety of VP includes a great mix of 9/6 and even 10/7 machines!

To make it better all of the above VP will earn points! YES indeed, you asked and we are delivering. With that in mind, I would like all my VMB video poker players to come in, try them out, give me feedback and say hi!!

Next, we are initiating what I think are the best multipliers Downtown Las Vegas; 10X points every Tuesday and 2X points every Thursday.

Lastly, “ZIP & SIP” will start soon as well. If you ride the Fremont Street Zip Line and bring a receipt to the Omaha Bar they will give you one free drink. And you can play our great new bar top VP machines. Stay tuned there will indeed be more to come and I will keep you posted.

P.S. FREE BET BLACK JACK COMING SOON!!!!

Thanks for the updates! We were there last March and weren't very impressed with the place. We will be there next month so will no doubt check out the Plaza while we are there. Looking forward to it.

I haven't been in the Plaza in a while but it used to be one of my favorite places to play nickel VP downtown. I'll be checking it out again in October!

    All great news.
PLEASE consider adding a small 97% dollar slot area. My wife cycles $10k a day through the Circus 97% machines and I am sick of the damn Circus. :grrr:

I just searched it a couple days ago and used the Search MVB function at the top of this page. It brings up interesting threads.

All the changes sound great. Now if you can convince them that an accessible Black Jack table would be a very nice addition to the table games it would be AWESOME. Looking forward to our trip and stay at The Plaza in November.

We played a little Blackjack and some wheel of Fortune a couple of nights ago. The changes seem to be coming along nicely. The dealer and pit boss were both nice and I would come back and play again. Glad to hear about the better VP coming in.

My biggest complaint about the plaza was the smell. Whatever is being piped in is bad. The smell was the sole reason we didn't head back as my friend said he couldn't stand it. (personally I didn't think it was THAT bad, but it does stink).

I'm not a big VP player so bare with my question. Per NV requirements, I thought VP was regulated as a random draw out of a 52 card deck, with random cards out of the remaining deck on the second hand. If so, how do you have 99% paybacks or whatever. Seems like the payback would be based on "playing the cards properly" and the payback tables 9/7 etc. If not is VP a simple slot game of chance?

You have it right. Whenever you see VP listed at 99% or whatever it means that if you played the cards with perfect strategy the machine would pay back the listed percentage over its life time. This is all manipulated by the advertised pay table on the VP machine. The cards being dealt are random and just because a machine has the pay table to pay back 99% doesn't mean it will. It will only if the player plays it with perfect strategy. In truth, a lot of people don't know how to play perfect strategy so a casino's take is usually quite a bit higher than what the maximum hold would be in theory.
