Need some help, Please. My son is heading to Vegas for the Sema Show with friends, but is staying by himself. Need somewhere not too expensive, but better than Hooters! What do you guys think, Bally's, Harrahs or Flamingo. They all seem center strip, Thanks for any advice.

I probably pick harrahs or flamingo. All three are okay in my book. Harrahs is closest to the convention though.

I like both Flamingo and Harrahs. And the Margaritaville section is pretty fun.

Flamingo will have the best hookers.

I would say Flamingo as well it tends to have more of a younger crowd. I can't comment on the quality of the hookers.

    Think the same!

What is wrong with kids today (and this isn't a kid!), that they are so clued out and have apparently never had their parents boot their arse to run their own lives? I left home when I was 17... NEVER to return.

In any case, most people should be in the rectangle marked by Caesar's, Bellagio, Bally's/Paris and is it the Cromwell now? You have access to all manner of stuff. I'm partial to Bally's/Paris for medium rates, but the Quad (old IP) is cheap as hell.

I'm 32, and id go to any hotel/casino in Vegas...
If you want center strip action, flamingo isn't bad, and it'll probably be the cheapest of the lot.
We stayed in a Fab Deluxe Room 2 years ago, and it was just fine. (actually quite large compared to some other strip hotels; probably 500sqft

The Flamingo would probably be the most "economical". The location is good and easy access to the monorail to go up to the convention centre.

All three have monorail access in the rear of the hotel so he can ride it to the convention center.

Has he ever been to Vegas? Where are his friends staying? What does he like to do at night? Is he there strictly for sema?

    Thanks for the advice!

Thanks, and for you really nice ones out there, my hubby and I head to Vegas every year. But we are not 30 years old, so the Bellagio and Venetian are our favorites. But since this is his Xmas present, I am surprising him with the trip with friends along for the Sema Show. He has his own house, girl and job. I just wanted some advice on a cheaper, younger crowd of hotel. But I think he will appreciate the better looking hookers. Thanks for the real advice. I think I'll do the Trop.

Truthfully, that's the WORST choice. We stayed there back in december, and it was TERRIBLE. The vibe was totally DEAD, and the room (if you're staying in the Club Tower, rather than the Paradise) is literally a MILE hike.
It's also SO far down the strip, and not connected to anything....Do yourself a favor and get Flamingo or Ballys/Paris/PlanetHollywood.

Got to agree. Nobody recommended the Trop yet that is the one you are going with....so why ask??? Just asking.

DItto. It won't appeal to him age wise, it's not convenient to where he's headed and it's not exactly leaps and bounds better class wise than what's been suggested. My personal preference would be Bally's then Harrah's.

I'm 34 and would go with Flamingo. Would you pick Trop since it's close to his friends? Where are they staying? The flamingo is center strip so if he isn't going to be with his friends the entire time then that's the location.

LOL! What a disaster. Hey what about the Flamingo, maybe Harrahs, maybe the Quad, those sound like great hotels for a young guy.......no, no, Im going with the Tropicana since nobody suggested that one and you all said to stay away from south strip.
