I'm taking up a comp offer from Cosmo for the first time, which includes $2500 in promotional chips. I get that these are one time use, but just thinking about how to play them...

The offer states that they're valid for "select table games", can anyone advise which table games? Also if there are any other restrictions which might apply. Thanks

Only advice is to pick a game you like. There is really no game that will give you an advantage other than lowest house edge which is bac. Since you will need to let the cage know which denominations you would like the chips, I'd suggest getting them in the smallest ones they will let you. They will not break down larger promo chips at the tables.

I believe craps is one of the tables games that are not allowed, but not too sure, so if some other will chime in.

    Other than that good luck!

You can bet those chips on craps. Depending on the cashier, they may tell you they have to give you big denomination chips, e.g. In your case five $500 chips. Last time they would not give me $100 chips rather than the $500, saying it was policy. Whatever.

But you can use these for any bet on the craps table, like hard ways, the odds, pass line, buying the ten, etc. I just use them for the odds bet-no house edge. But then again I would be using my own money, so in the end it's just a few extra bets you can take advantage of...

Twice this summer I have used promo chips at Cosmo craps table. They let me use them as odds and as hardways bets.

I think that's a great deal. Often gaming vouchers can't be used where the payback is more than 1 to 1.

I usually bet both Banker and Player, on the same play in Baccarat.
This way, I get back 50% as real chips if Player wins, or 50% minus the 5% commission if Banker wins.

I had a similar question as I have an offer for promo chips at Cosmo as well, but onlt $100:Þ I was worried about being limited to even money bets. This is great news if they allow them to be used for odds in craps. Hopefully they give me nickels instead of quarters.

I went to a local casino around here last weekend and cashed in for $35 in promo chips and had no problem using them for pass line and odds. Here when my bet won, they replaced my odds and pass line bet with real chips and then paid me the proper amount for that point. But the promo chips were gone as soon a bet resolved. Is this the same way it works at Cosmo?

At CET properties in Las Vegas, they use gaming vouchers, not promotional chips. The are "play until you lose" and only pay 1 for 1. I've been told by a floorman that he would only rate the voucher as $0.01. I have used them on a field bet, knowing that the max pay would be 1 for 1. Other properties would not let you use the voucher on a field bet even if you insisted that they could pay 1 for 1.

If you're limited to even money you'd be better off using for your pass line wager and then use your bank roll for odds.

I had one-time use chips, and they wouldn't let me do that when I tried this summer.
Were your chips one-time use or "full-use" promo chips?

Must have been dependent on the pit boss.

I did the same thing. Had promo chips from Cosmo. Had a friend with me though so I just gave him $$$ to bet on player and I bet banker with the promo chips. Easiest way to wash it. :evillaugh

They are the one time use chips, and I spread them all over the table. I saw other people do it first, so it must be pit boss dependent...
