I play mostly craps, when I say mostly, I mean 98%-99% of the time. I noticed when I tip, it's easier to get a voucher to a buffet, or something like that. Do any of you have the same experience?

Voucher. Now that brings me back. "Sir, just set those down and we'll color them up for you. Are you hungry? Let me buy you dinner."

I don't get buffet vouchers but I think being nice to the crew and tipping will often help your ratings.
I'm guessing it is also somewhat dependent on the box/floor person.
We have all dealt with grumpy dealers and floor people that won't crack a smile.
On the other hand, there are those that go out of their way to help.
Years ago I was a regular at a large off strip casino that is now owned by one of the behemoths.
Whenever I bought in on certain shifts, the Floorman would ask if I had been playing at another table.
If I said no he would back my starting time up by an hour or two.

Tipping can absolutely help your rating. Just be sure to politely ask the PB what you're rating is at. I try to do it while the table is gassed and just before I place a bet for the dealers.

It's been my experience that if you take care of the boys they usually take care of you. Time, bet level etc.

Same here -- take care of the crew and they'll look out for you. Maybe an exaggerated rating, a glossed over hardway bet that should have fallen but stayed up....

This is what I've noticed most over the years.
That, and the unexpected meal-comp offer from the pit.

Never received a comp like a buffet pass from the table but have had them inflate my buy-in amount.
It was a craps dealer from a previous session.

    That too.

On the rare occasion I will forget to put my odds down because I was talking to the waitress or bullshittin' with someone and a point hits (or I forgot to play a hardway bet) and the pit allows them to pay me. The people at Isle are cool.

Without a doubt. They notice the tipping and it goes a long way. Not to mention, as others have said, you'll be treated better.

No question it affects comp ratings. It also allows the people dealing to you to earn a decent living.

Occasionally you'll also have dealers make a few mistakes in your favor as well.

Never had them overlook a loser but I have been given extremely inflated averages and time at the table been added.

In a recent trip to an MGM property, I asked for the avg and time on the way out and the pit had under rated me BIGTIME ( I know, shocker at MGM) and the crew vouched for me well over what I was betting and how long I was there. The pit fixed the error immediately and apologized.

It make a difference with time and avg bet if you tip well. I consider it a cost of doing business and it also take some heat off if I have been counting.

I mostly play craps. I usually have a pass line bet for the crew when I'm throwing. Sometimes when it's going good I'll bet some 2 way hard-ways. They always thanks me, whether we win or not.
It definitely helps with your ratings.

Tipping well definitely has bumped up my average bets in the system.

I agree with the majority on this thread. Tipping at the craps table definitely works in your favor (and helps the dealers earn a decent wage).

Excellent approach. I usually tip when I color up but I think I will take your lead and try the same next Month.

I usually do this as well - I mostly play craps. It definitely helps your rating. I try to throw out a two way yo, or "boys on the line" when I'm shooting... I especially do it the first time or two I am shooting during my session, making sure the boxman is listening/paying attention. It seems to help, and like all are saying, the dealers tend to side with you on any oversights, etc...
