This is something I have never done in the past despite having numerous opportunities to do so. I already have an October trip booked at a CET property but received an offer from the Cosmopolitan yesterday for 2 free nights. I've never stayed there but the place just looks amazing. I'm sure my wife and I would enjoy staying there when we return to Vegas in January. My question: What if I book the offer and use the room as a second home base for 2 days and give the Cosmo same play. Do you think that would generate some room offers for January? Appreciate any input, thoughts or suggestions.

I’ve double booked Cosmo my last few trips due to the nice offers (freeplay or promo chips and sometimes resort credit) I’ve received. It’s worked out pretty well.

I’ve pretty much done as you plan to do – used the room as a mid strip home base while staying at Wynn or Encore. I usually gamble there most of the day and will usually have either lunch or dinner there or in the area. I’ve also been fortunate to get fountain view rooms both times (well, one time I had to pay an upgrade fee). So I usually end up hanging out on the terrace with a few drinks in the late afternoon/early evening.

I make sure to give them plenty of action, though it’s probably not as much as I give to Wynn/Encore (where I’m more concerned with recurring offers). So far, they seem to be satisfied with my play as I’ve received roughly the same offers for the past four or five quarters. So, I guess what I’m trying to say is that if my experience is any guide, the offers should probably continue if you give them the type of action they’re used to getting from you.

I've double booked and triple booked but only to get FP and GC or money for the booking. Just know you should give them Play to get future offers. You don't have to book the room to get more offers. Just give the casino Play and that will generate offers. But most require you to book the room to get the FP or Show Tickets or whatever they are giving away.

I've also double or triple booked, as pphold and the carve have done.
However, I never double book within one company, i.e. double book at two MGM properties, since they will know you are doing so.
I like the Aria, Cosmo, Pho trifecta, since they are all within a 10 min walk (I walk fast).

We actually be staying right across the street at Paris. We'll be there October 12th for 5 nights in a suite but I'm thinking we could just take a small over night bag, toss some clothing into it and take advantage of the pool area at the Cosmo as well as crashing their for a night. I would still give CET their normal play each day and would not let my host know about the room at the Cosmo. We'd also give the Cosmo a grand in play over the 2 days we have the room in hopes that would keep us on their radar for a future room offer in January when we head back out. Thoughts?

I double book practically every trip I take. and I like the Cosmo rooms. I'd recommend checking them out.

Sound like a great plan to me, having done this many times.
But the key is NOT letting the other hosts know you are doing this....

I love double booking, especially if I'm in Vegas for more than three nights. It is very convenient particularly when you have a few too many and need a place to crash for a couple of hours.
