Just called for reservations for my October trip.

I asked for 10/16, 10/17,10/18 or 10/19 and the earliest they had available is 10:15pm.

It is the hot new restaurant and I don't mind eating late in Las Vegas but it sounds like they are just blocking times for potential VIPs coming in.

I'm staying at Aria so my host will not have any influence.

They said "eat at the bar or come in for lunch".
    No thanks,it's my anniversary.
Sorry about the rant just disappointed.

I booked 2 weeks ago for October 17th and had the choose of 5:30 or 9:00. It's popular!

Don't know if that makes it good (Red Lobster has lines all the time and that place wanks).

I understand the popularity of a new and exciting restaurant, it's good and big business!

But before long (or at least when the next "sensation" comes to town), you'll be able to sling a cat through there and you won't hit anyone.

I am literally sitting at my desk laughing out loud at the visuals on that.

I had lunch there about a month ago. I thought it was good to very good but short of great. If I did a trip advisor review I would give it 4 out of 5.

I don't think they're blocking times - it honestly is that busy. It took me 3 weeks to get my reservation. I was there over Labor Day, and the Lobster Ravioli was awesome, I definitely recommend that. I also had several desserts - also excellent.

It's a very good restaurant that my wife and I enjoyed very much. So, I'd say yes, it is that good.

I would say "it is that good"

Had 830 or so reservations last month, got ill before dinner; manager was able to give me 6:30 two days later. I imagine they do keep a few tables but really, both times in three days, all tables were full.

I would love to hear the comparison between scarpettos and giadas. Has anyone dined at both restaurants and have a comparison?

I have friends who were lucky and dined there for dinner the 1st week they were open. New restaurant / new employees usually equal some visible issues....but, they said it was a very smooth & efficient experience with excellent food. Said each dish seems to have at least one unusual twist and it is well worth your time & $$. Thinking of trying to get reservations for December based on their feed back. If they can't complain and pick-it-apart.....that is good enough for me.... :)

I got reservations there Oct 2nd. I have been to scarpetta, but ill update this afterwards.

scarpetta was not as "rustic" as giadas seems to be.

I've dined at both on our last trip in July....too close to call, food was amazing at both places, Giada's was a little brighter inside, and slightly less expensive then scarpetta. On the flip side, scarpetta was more intimate, as I said, I think it's a wash, both had awesome food, and a decent wine selection, we just booked Giadia again for our early December trip!!!

We originally had a very early dinner reservation but switched it to lunch.
We were there about 90 minutes from opening and by the time we left the place wasn't even full.
Lunch appears to be the better option but the menu is a bit limited.

Everyone has different taste and what they think is good. On several different post about the various foods, some would highly recommend an item that I thought was just so so.
And there were other items that I thought were very tasty. Just not enough of it. Ordered a filet med rare and it came out rare! Purple red in color with brown edges.
Server did comp us a desert for that. It was very good but,, small and expensive. I do have an idea for their desert cart because it is like a bull in a china shop. YMMV
